He has played some sloppy golf the last two holes. Not exactly closing with style.

I get that it hasn't been pretty. My point is that he has maintained a 5 stroke lead. Hard to criticize imo

Feherty won't be missed on the MAsters. Simply because he has to act so tame during the Masters broadcasts. I love the Masters, but I dislike the restrictions placed on the announcers.

While Miller can often be a prick, I do find myself occasionally entertained by his overt smugness and disdain for some on the tour.

Feherty is a straight up Boss though! Not only is he an amazing golf broadcaster but the sound of his Irish accent seems to relax and entertain me when I'm settled in my chair watching a tournament.
I completely agree with all of this.

Just look at the definition of smug prick on the right. That's a face begging to be punched.

I like and respect Johnny Miller. His best golf was probably better than anyone else's in the history of the game.

I think it's very comparable .. When Johnny Miller was on, I don't think anybody was better.

Maybe threeputt means for his brief career before he got the yips Miller was pretty dominant.

I was too young to know, so I don't know, but Miller had a pretty damn good career. And for a short time did kick everyboy's arse.

Miller had every right to criticize Fowler. Dude was folding like he did EVERY other time he had leads. Plus he had a bunch of no names chasing him. Easy to win in that situation. His tee shot on 17 was the worst I've seen except for Phil on the 18th leading the PGA.

First, it was the US Open that Phil blew on the 18th hole, it has cost him the career grand slam.

Don't say it's easy because a bunch of no names were chasing him. All of those professional golfers are capable of getting hot for weekend and win that tournament. Fowler was pretty clutch with the putter, and he made some huge putts to extend his lead.

However, I do agree with Johnny that Rickie can't really use his finish to this tournament the next time he has a small lead with 3 holes to go. You just can't hit the ball in the lake with a 5 shot lead and you can't find the bunker from 130 yards out on the last hole.

I'm a huge Rickie fan, but Johnny's criticism was fair IMO. If Woodland could have pissed a drop instead of dumping a fricking layup on 18 in the water, he could have put some pressure on Rickie. Instead, Woodland choked so hard he cost himself about $130k with that bogey on 18. Rickie drained some monster putts in the middle of the round which was the difference, but otherwise he wasn't very solid yesterday closing it out. But as he said, a win's a win.
