Anyone played it lately? I’m playing it Saturday for first time and wondering what kind of shape to expect?

Played it like 20 years ago during spring break.

One of the guys on the trip was hammered on the first tee. Topped it. Didn’t get past ladies tees.

Played the first hole with his wiener out. Was so drunk, pretty much played the remaining 17 with it still out.

In fact, we didn’t even ask him to pull it out after the first tee shot.

Guy was super drunk though. All I got.

Been a while. Lots of trees is all I remember. I was laying sod out there the divots were so huge but this was in the middle of the summer so may not be the same for you this time of year.

It’s one of my regular stops whenever I’m in Destin. Playing it next week. Greens are always really good to excellent. Somewhat tight, you can find a backyard if you’re really off-line. Decent variety of holes, usually windy. Lower price point than Regatta or Kelly, still pricey but decent value.

I like it, and Windswept Dunes is good value too.

I played last summer. They are down to 18 holes (previously 27). The course is always in good shape, but I play it spring summer.

Played it last summer. It was fine. As another poster said, it's down to 18 now, but it's in decent shape and it's not too crowded. I enjoyed my round there and would play there again.

Not a classy move.

Are you mainstream media? Because you chopped off the essential info needed to conclude its a non story.. Spring break, 20 years ago, Panama City Beach.. Totally appropriate.

Bumping this thread. I’ll be in Destin this week and will be looking to tee off somewhere. Leaning towards Emerald Bay. I’ll be playing by myself. What do y’all recommend for the Destin area?

I played Indian the week of Mardi Gras, it was in the worst shape I’ve ever seen it. Bad enough where I was apologizing to my friends because I had talked it up as a great value.

I’d go Windswept Dunes, Regatta, Kelly, or Emerald Bay before IBayou.

Wow! That’s terrible news. My dad and I were just talking about IB yesterday. We planned to go play around memorial day.

Weird to hear that. I've been playing there for 25+ years and it has always been in good shape. Hopefully we will get some updates before I go this summer to see if I should book somewhere else.
