First time on this board but just came back from a guys golfing weekend and need some advice....some background

I'm a decent golfer, if I play a reasonably nice course from second farthest tee I'll shoot 82-85 on a good day. I hit the ball 260-270 on a great drive, and don't bs about my game.

One area I struggle in is I can't hit anything under 5i. Until this weekend I had never tried a hybrid until I needed to go for a green on a par 5 in a scramble (buddy already laid up) but it was 200 to carry the hazard. If I hit my 5i it would only carry 185 and my 4w wouldn't hold the green. My buddy suggested I try his hybrid 3 and I hit it well. Carries about 210 and landed in green side bunker.

Now I need a couple hybrids.

TLDR-never hit a hybrid, tried it and loved it. Now need to buy and what should I get?

Lots of good options out there. This is my first year playing a hybrid as well. I have a 2016 M2 3Hybrid that I used for that distance: 205-220. I also hit the mizuno jpx from this year, but I got a better deal on the M2.

Love my TaylorMade Aeroburner 22 degree (4 hybrid). Such a easy, smooth club that saves my arse multiple times a round.

In no order:
TM M2
Ping G
Srixon's latest model
Titleist
Adams

They are all good. You just need to figure out what works best for your game Some are made to launch the ball really high which average golfers have trouble doing. Some are made for lower trajectory which is what I need.

I got the Srixon h45 which is a year or 2 year old model for $60 the other day.

Look up the lofts for your current iron set and get the same for the clubs you want to replace. Just know that hybrids fly a little further

I have the Titleist H1 816 21 degree. It's easy to hit.

It's on sale both new and used if you look around.

I have the M2 3 and 4 hybrids (19* and 22*, respectively) and love them. Easy to hit and can mash them

Was your team DQ'd for hitting out of someone else's bag?

I love my Callaways - 3 & 4. Far more consistent for my aging swing.

I have a crappy hybrid that I can rip. It's really easy to get the face back square with it

FWIW: Like all other clubs, the most important component will be getting the best shaft for you..

The longer the club the more shoulder turn you need to complete your backswing and get the Lower body initiating the transition.

If it's a charity scramble most people won't care. If it's a scramble for money then I'm sure just about everyone else playing cares. My home course actually waives club limitations in some tournaments but not playing out of someone else's bag. And the logic of that gets brought up from time to time.
