5i - 24*
6i - 27*
7i - 31*
8i - 35*
9i - 40*
PW - 45*

I really don't care. I can hit my current 7i 170, OT really doesn't matter to me if it would be a 6, 5, or 8 as long as it feels good and hopefully straight.

wedges? irons? SLDR drivers?
ETA:oooohhhh.....that!

I have the CF16 set and I don't even carry a 4 iron partly because there's only a 2.5* difference from the 5i. I pulled it and got a 3H instead.
But I agree. I don't care because I'm never concerned with what club other people are hitting or comparing distances to mine. I get why Callaway and TM do it though. There are fitters who beg for it because it helps the sale.

SLDR drivers?

Doesn't bother me as long as I know how far each club goes.

I think it evens out. the people who would be using the CF 16 99 times out of 100 will be adding loft to the shot because they aren't hitting the ball with a descending strike.

No big deal. I dint have a 3i and added a wedge.
As long as I don't have gaps I'm happy.

I play the Cally Alex pros. When I hit in the store the guy working there was pushing another club by saying look you are smashing this other club way farther. However, it didn't feel and look as good.
Also, at some point they can't go any higher on those lofts or they will have to make up new names for wedges

no, i'm actually being frank and honest. those clubs are made for players looking for forgiveness, correct?
that usually means:
1. the player doesn't shallow in transition
2. club gets steep
3. player early extends the legs
4. player uses hands through impact to square the club
5. player adds loft instead of delofting
now, if the player doesn't do any of those things, I would ask why he's using that iron instead of one made for his skill advanced level.

only if they're doing those things. if not, then no.

i know plenty non pro's who put a good move on the ball, and they all use either "players irons" and a small few hit muscle backs. none hit anything below that, though i'm sure there are exceptions out there.
my intention was only to answer your question honestly and i felt i did that without being condescending. can you tell me exactly where you take issue with my statement?

^^This^^
But if they jack them up any more I will be playing a 6 - LW set.

You exaggerated. And your assumptions are wrong and anecdotal. You singled out a group based on the ownership of a specific club for no reason.

I lol when some people I know that suck at golf way more than I do brag about hitting their 7 iron (that's lofted to my 6.5 iron) like 175.
Posted on 7/10/17 at 4:16 pm to Golfer
Gives you some perspective on that 6i I hit into the wind in Omaha, huh?
Posted on 7/10/17 at 4:22 pm to ell_13
Agreed. This game is hard enough. I'll take all the forgiveness I can get. Apex CF 16s aren't exactly super game improvement irons. In fact, they are a cavity back players iron more than a game improvement iron.

Doesn't bother me...unless someone is bragging about how they are a bomber and are gaming M2's. Though driver carry would tell you all you need to know.
I play RSi2's fwiw. Fairly jacked lofts...my 3i plays like a 5w at 19 degrees.
