I got the Edison wedges in the mail yesterday.

These were close outs of their first models.

My back is in spasm, but I hit a few.

They look great. They feel great.
On slight misses they are really good.

I do not have a monitor so I don’t have numbers.
Will get on the course next week.

PlYed with my Edison 57 degree today for the first time.

It was money out of the bunker and I hit it once off a hard pan lie and there is something to their sole design.

Very pleased so far.

Back feels better.

They are a smidge longer than my prior wedges. I’ll probably choke down an inch.

I like them.

One of the elite juniors took a few swings with them even after I told him they weee for guys like me just wanting simple setup rather than endless bounce/grind options, but he ripped it and said, “it’s nice. I feel the sweet spot a bit higher, but it’s fine. I like the divot pattern.”

So at least it has been swung properly several times. He Hit chips/pitches for 20 minutes or so and reported “this is nice. It will help you” He’s a really nice kid. Lives in the practice area.

I hit several different shots pitch/chips/greenside bunker.

It comes out of bunkers easy. I hit some simple flop shots from great lies. The sole did not dig.

I like the simplicity.

They are not designed for Tour level elite players who need endless bounce and grind options. The sole is high bounce near leading edge and lower in the back. It works. I am going to give it try on the course soon.

Would anyone be able to comment on the claim on the edison website that these tend to get more distance so they make odd number lofts to compensate? It seems they are saying that if I currently game a 52/56/60 and are happy with my distances then I should purchase 53/57/61 so they will go roughly the same distance as my other brand club?

I love mine have 2.0 in 53 and 57 waiting on the 61 which they will have in Sept. They are shipped out of Rockport so shipping to Texas/Louisiana by UPS is done in 1-2 days. They will sell me the 3rd wedge at a discount price as if I was buying them all at once. Good service for sure!

Played today.
They come off the face a bit lower so the weaker lofts are necessary as the weight is moved higher up behind groove 4 instead of groove 2.

If you are an elite wedge player, Edison is not for you.

If you want simplicity and better misses, I like them.

I haven't noticed any real gain or loss in distance with my 57* vs a 56.

I have tried it off several type lies and opened the face wide open and it performs well.

My biggest hurdle is putting the right shaft in it.

I bought the head only and put a KBS S flex HI-Rev shaft (125 gram) in it.

At a half inch long, it is heavy as lead and a sledgehammer.
