Any updates? I heard Tom Doak was in town this past Tuesday and Coore/Crenshaw was in town on Thursday. Tom said their Bloody Mary didn’t have enough Tito’s and Ben Crenshaw said they should sell High Noon’s but only had white claws.

Greens looking good! All scraped and new soil being laid and compacted. Fairways looking real good too.

They also decided to do the tee boxes as well. Excited for the new look when it opens.

Did they till them and add sand mix? They aren’t scraped.

They removed 4 inches of soil and added new sand/soil mix. They posted some pictures on social media and I did see them working on 18 last week when I went by there.

Not sure of the steps for the tee boxes. I just know they brought in another contractor to get them level and planting new grass.

I can’t tell if you’re oddly butthurt about a course renovation or if you’re genuinely excited

Lol. Was thinking same thing but the picture is from the Facebook page so I’m guessing oddly butthurt? Curious as to why but put me on the list for excited for it to be back open. Greens look great especially considering next to zero rain has fallen in weeks.

That irrigation project last winter sure came in handy with the weather this summer. Heard they lost some members by shutting down for several months but that is expected. If they can keep it good they’ll be able to get more.

Why would I be butthurt over new greens?

I honestly don’t know. Your post seemed a bit “over happy” if that makes sense?? Lol. All good though. After reading another thread here, this will be a great affordable option to play or maybe for some even join. The course is in great shape and once we get some decent rain it’s going to really come together. Those who played it before it shut down I think will be able to appreciate the improvements the most.

I played it before the shutdown and the greens were horrendous. I’ll be happy to head back out there as I’ve always liked the layout.

I’m happy for any course in the NOLA metro that is making improvements. The better the courses the happier I am.

Are they planning on updating the cart girl payments? Would rather not have to venmo the cart girl directly for beers obviously left over from a wedding like last time. I got Miller lites in 3 different containers and she couldn’t take my credit card

Hopefully they get one like LaTour had, she provided great service and lots of payment options

Sadly the restaurant/bar has been a challenging issue. The country club owns the building but they lease it to the owner of the restaurant business. Basically the club has nothing to do with the restaurant/bar side other than leasing the area out. It’s been rough and whoever was running the bar when you played is now gone. The last renter closed shop mid summer. A few times the bar was closed all together on peek weekend playing times. The local Circle K around the corner sold a ton of beer during that time. There is a new owner of the bar who seems to be a really good fit. My understanding is he will open when the course opens. I would think if there is no cart girl that at the least you could go to the bar and it will be available to ice down some beer.

You can borrow my duster for your clubs. I'll be on the range showing Bandit how to hit a hooded 6i 210yds with a one hop stop ground draw.
