Clark Park GC officially opens May 1. The course is in pretty good shape. The greens are good. Greens have full coverage of Tifeagle Bermuda and zero Poa annua. Fairways are pretty good, but you can see a few areas that still need to grow in. I think it's the same price as City Park to play. It's about the same length as Webb Park. Two par fives and two par threes. Two flags per green which is definitely different. It's worth going to check it out.

Some holes share greens? Like beaver creek?

I like that. Assuming you play one color the first 9 and a second color the second 9

Went to play around lunch yesterday, it was packed. Went back around 4pm and got 9 in.
#1 is a new hole played off the old #2 tee box. Old #1 green is a putting green. Par 4
#2 is mostly #17 but reworked a little bit. Par 5
#3 is Dumas old #15. Par 4
#4 is Dumas old #16. Par 3
#5 is a new hole behind the tennis courts. Nice scenery of ladies playing tennis. Par 3
#6 is a new hole but mostly based off Clark old #4. Par 4
#7 is Clark old #6.Par 4
#8 ia Clark old #7. Par 4
#9 is Clark old #8 tee box but redesigned to a par 5.

All in all the greens are much bigger to support the 2 flags per green which I am not a fan of but I think it is more for the first tee and different looking 9's. The fairways still need to grow in but all the greens were great but slow. Also notice a lot of cart breaking, don't know if it was to much usage without being charged. Also to me it is not too walker friendly.

Just looking at the course map, you can tell it isn't walker friendly.

Was it basically the same holed or did they add interesting contours, traps, etc?

They added some different contours, especially the greens. They are not flat or turtle backs like in the past. I think they did a great job on the greens. They added some twist on some of the fairways, like #1 is a short par 4 but works better if you can hit a draw while #6 works better with a fade. I think overall they did a good job but it will be interesting to see if they can keep up with those big greens. Not too many traps but the ones they have, I found them.

It's completely redesigned. A good distance between some holes now.

I played it a few weeks ago. The greens were in pretty good shape. I liked it for its price point. I walked so it was only $16.

I played yesterday after work. Some gimmicky holes. Greens were in great shape and big. Still some rough patches in the fairways. Absolutely not walker friendly from green to tee. Also no real signage on where to go. Also no designated cross walk (no paint or flashing lights or signage to warn golfers or motorists). Range was in decent shape too.

Also I might add that when I played it two weeks ago, there were no yardage markers(200,150, 100) and I hadn't updated my Bushnell g.p.s.. If you have a range finder, you're good.

They have red and white sticks along the cart path

Unless they pulled them up.

I played a while ago so they probably put them up after I played. Thanks

Played this evening. Pleasantly surprised. Course in nice shape. Greens are enormous. They were slower than they looked and didn’t hold shots very well. Had lots more runout on approaches than I expected. Took a bit to get used to. But I like the layout and appreciate the 2 different flags on each green. First fairway still needs to grow in, but that’s the worst one out there. I’ll happily go play there more often.

Definitely not walker friendly. Some long walks between holes on the first 6. I rode. Waited a ton on the first 9, as it took 2 hours to play. Played the second 9 in less than an hour and was done before dark. Not bad for $16.
