I guess? I'm sure a good amount of people have their consoles in their living room already.

It's obvious you will find faults with it no matter what anyone says but you can't honestly tell me you don't see where having an all in one hub is desirable for many people.

How is that any different than what happens now.

I have a wife. We disagree on what to watch so ultimately we have more than 1 TV.

When I was growing up me and my brother did not always agree on what video game to play, so we had separate consoles.

yeah i know that, it's fine for me i live alone so i can set it up as my main deal, but i wouldn't understand how it work with a family nobody wants to sit around and watch one person play a game, usually it's set up in another room bonus room or whatever.

I don't disagree with the statement.

The problem is, we didn't get to see it in action. Until we see it in action, we won't know what we have.

It could be a world changer like the iPod and iTunes.

It could be HDDVD.

I'd rather be skeptical early than get my hopes up.

I have two 360's now and I am a single adult. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. It's not that big of a deal.

I know one person here that has 3 kids and they have 5 consoles. I for each of them, 1 for him, and 1 in the den for everyone/Netflix.

When me and my wife have a kid, I expect my gaming to decrease, but I'm not gonna share my console with a kid. Haha

they need to get in with cox cable so that you just get it with your cable and it truly is a all in one device.

Fair enough but if it works as advertised then I may have to eventually get one despite not initially planning on it. I was going to build an HTPC as a central hub but this might be a better option. The only way to know for sure is to wait for more info to come out.

Xbox One and PS4 games can be re-sold, confirms GameStop president

GameStop president Tony Bartel has confirmed that both PS4 and Xbox One games can be re-sold at its stores, following confusion of how the re-sale of games on both formats will work.

Speaking with Forbes, Bartel said, “Both Sony and Microsoft have said games can be resold and that’s exactly what we anticipated. It’s a recognised way to make these games more affordable. All three new platforms understand that.

“As people upgraded to PS3 they traded in their old systems and libraries, which is why Sony made the move to not support backwards compatibility with later iterations of PS3. That’s why the ‘buy, sell, trade’ model works well. It enables people to purchase new games by trading in their old ones. We expect to see the same thing with this transition for PS4 and Xbox One. Trade-ins allow for a seamless transition.”

The common belief is that chains like GameStop and Game make the bulk of their money through repeated sales, but Bartel said that 70% of the company’s $1 billion market sales comes from the purchase of new games.

What do you make of the above? It’s still not clarifying much is it? Let us know what you think below.

Wasn't all of this speculation because no one knew what fee someone would have to pay to play a used game on their system? Has this been answered?

Not really. We've heard different answers from different executives. You'd think that a company whose only focus is the West would be able to not mismanage this information so badly.

No we haven't. Every quote from the higher ups I have seen they have all said that the full details would be released later. The misinformation you have read has come from the Twitter feed of Xbox Support. It doesn't take a lot to figure out that they don't know as much as the executives.

You're right. Microsoft is just trying to destroy the company that most of their sales are done through.
