WWII RPG recommendations?

Hearts of Iron IV is a newer real time strategy game by Paradox. Steel Division:Normandy 44 is an unreleased turn based strategy game by Paradox.

Valkyria chronicles. Not officially ww2 but a damn fun war game nonetheless

Uh. It's not super realistic but Valkyria Chronicles is still a good game.
I'd look up some gameplay before going through with that recommendation.

Have you looked into Company of Heroes? That's the only thing I can think of that's similar to what you posted.

Company of Heroes and Sudden Strike
Sudden Strike 4 is soon to be released. I like CoH alot but if you're specifically looking for something like the Close Combat series, I think Sudden Strike is more similar to it than CoH. But you should still play CoH anyway.
