Will Rocksteady's Next Batman Game Be Revealed Next Week?

GameStop got a new shipment of Batman banners yesterday—and although these materials could be marketing an older game or even downloadable content for last year's Arkham Origins, evidence is pointing to a new Arkham reveal next week.
It's been a few years since we last heard from Rocksteady, the British game studio responsible for previous Batman titles Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The last Arkham game, Origins, was developed by the folks at Warner Bros. Montreal, and we don't know what Rocksteady is up to at the moment, although clues have pointed toward their next game coming in 2014.P
So what's up with this GameStop material? (You can see the new banner above.) For one, there's the reported press junket—Rocksteady held an event for reporters a few weeks ago with an embargo in March, according to one Dutch journalist. (Kotaku did not attend that event.)
We've heard from GameStop employees saying this big ol' Batman banner isn't to be hung up until the week of March 3. There's a lot of secrecy revolving around these materials, and GameStops are receiving a poster called "Zeppelin" that's also linked to Batman, according to an employee who asked not to be named.
GameStop's magazine, Game Informer, typically does their big exclusive cover reveals on the first week of each month, which for March is next week. Last year's Arkham Origins was revealed on a Game Informer cover.
On top of all that, a tipster sent us the following image:
This is a bit more of a stretch, but that "Available SKU" could be a good fit for an Arkham game. Both Arkham City and Origins were released in October, although new games are typically released on Tuesdays, and October 8, 2014 is a Wednesday. (Those dates for Driveclub and The Crew are almost certainly placeholders as well.)P
And that's everything we know. We'll find out for sure in a few days, but for now, we'd rather share all of this information than keep it to ourselves, and it seems almost certain that we'll see something related to Batman next week.P
We reached out to both Warner Bros. and GameStop for comment yesterday, but neither company got back to us.

They're making two of them apparently. Kevin Conroy had created a twitter account and supposedly tweeted out that he was working on two different Batman games and it's why he wasn't on Origins. He shortly deleted his twitter account after that lol.

We all but know they are making another, we will just have to see when it comes out. I don't want them to annualized this but it's starting to look like it.

Arkham World? Lol.
If Rocksteady developed a Spider-Man Open World game my life would be over.
That said, I'm amped for this.

I've loved their Batman games, but I really wish they'd take their model to another super hero.
Even Nightwing, played the heck out of him in City's modes. Spider-Man would be nice. Blade? Luke Cage and Iron Fist? Green Arrow?
So many options.

A Blade game like this? Oh hell yes.

They can definitely give Batman a break.

I bet it's the one Kevin Conroy has been working on since City

Make it a whole Marvel Knights game. Give me Blade, Daredevil and Ghost Rider or something. Trapped in new York by Kingpin....
GOLD!

I agree. Asylum was great. It was fresh and the combat was great. City was also good bc it took the good parts of asylum and added a more open world environment.
I had to power thru origins bc it got stale. Fortunately I borrowed it from a friend. If they are releasing a new one so soon, ill hold off till its $20 or so

Origins had the best story I thought.

Formula needs to be changed. I can't take another predator room.
And I said this before, but Origins seemed stupid because he had all the same gear.

Thats what got me. Origins was a prequel to the first 2 yet, you had the same gadgets equipped before you unlocked them in the other 2 games.

I thought I might be in the minority here but I guess not. Rocksteady is clearly a great developer. I enjoyed AA and AC but I'd like to see something new from them, maybe even an entirely original IP.
They introduced a lot of improvements to the stealth genre and some very original 3rd person combat. I'd like to see what they can do when not constrained by a mythos or even genre.

It's worth noting that they didn't do origins so this one could introduce a lot more potentially. I think at worst it will be a playable and enjoyable game.

I'm afraid they are going to milk Batman until there is nothing left. I'd like to see some new Super Heroes myself, Spiderman, Hulk, Ironman (the suit customization oh my), Wolverine, Superman, Wonder Woman

Yep. I'm sure it will be a fine game but after playing AA I thought to myself "Wow! I want more of this."
After AC I thought, "Okay. Yeah, I think I'm good now." That's why I didn't buy Origins. I was also hesitant because of Rocksteady's lack of involvement.
It's just that original stuff gets me more excited than sequels these days. It's part of the reason I was kind of disappointed with the announcement of "Uncharted" even taking into account it might be a totally different cast, setting, etc.
If it is a new Batman game, though, I hope it's awesome. Maybe I'll be in the mood for a new one by the time it's released?

I'm also wondering why no one has attempted to just straight up copy them yet. It's not like the FPS's movement didn't produce a load of clones, some of which were pretty good.
Clearly a third person, open world setting, with a unique fighting/beat em up system and a gadget/power system is the way to go. Infamous has it. The new Batman Franchises have it. There are a ton of properties that are ready for that kind of set up.

Did you see the Lord of the rings trailer? The combat looked very similar.
