What are the best Sci-fi shooting alien games ?

After watching Aliens, I want to be a space marine shooting aliens with cool guns. What game can get me that? I heard AVP was mediocre. What about Halo? Gow? COD?

You could also give Dead Space 2 a shot. It's also survival horror but it's pretty gun-heavy and you're fighting aliens (not Xenomorphs) on a derelict space station.
If you just want to blast stuff and feel powerful, I'd recommend the recent Doom (2016). You're fighting demons / monsters instead of Xenomorphs from Alien, but it might scratch the same itch.

Big space marine fan myself...
Halo has the most comprehensive back story on the military, ships, enemies, etc. Actually, I find the Halo storyline stuff and cutscenes more enjoyable that the game.

Obviously halo. Recommend dead space. You wont have the coolest 360 no scoped with dead space but what you will get is a close to that alien movie feel that you ever will get.

That game is so good and terrifying. I can't remember ever dreading going into a new room in a game as much as dreaded going into unexplored rooms in Dead Space

Yeah I won't lie. I was a huge bitch when it came to that game. The fear greatly impacted how I aimed at times and would often struggle taking off limbs which would lead to lack of ammo and more fear.
