I followed it for a few pages and then realized I don't care. The way I perceive it is the right way.

I'll be pining away over still not having a damn release date for The Phantom Pain.

I think I'll pull out the PS3 and pick up AC:Rogue. I heard it was alright.

I'll also be watching as much House of Cards as I can and avoiding any Internet talk about it for fear of spoilers.

Gaming-wise, I think I'll continue playing Transistor. I also just finished Super Metroid...which got me kind of wanting to play Metroid Prime again.

Transistor.

I need to try this. I got it free on PS+ but never got around to it yet.

This weekend is all about House of Cards with Dying Light and A Link To The Past sprinkled in.

Same. I actually was planning on buying it until this month since I enjoyed Bastion so much. I feel a little bad about that. I honestly didn't like it at first, outside of the setting and beautiful art, but now the combat is clicking for me and I've been enjoying it.

I especially like all of the options you have with each new ability you acquire. Each one can be assigned as either be a primary attack, a secondary effect for any other attack, or an always-active passive buff for your character.

I know some of us have been talking about listing our top games lately so I decided to work on one starting last week. I was going to create a thread specifically for this but then felt like it was a bit self-serving.

Here is a link to the full list, which includes games below 25.

01. Metroid Prime - Gamecube (2002)
02. The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time - N64 (1998)
03. Portal 2 - PC (2011)
04. Starflight - Genesis (1991)
05. Journey - PS3 (2012)
06. Half-Life 2 - PC (2004)
07. Shadow of the Colossus - PS2 (2005)
08. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - PS2 (2006)
09. The Last of Us - PS3 (2013)
10. Super Mario World - SNES (1990)
11. Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger - PC (1994)
12. Street Fighter 2 - Arcade (1991)
13. Gunstar Heroes - Genesis (1993)
14. Valkyria Chronicles - PS3 (2008)
15. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES (1991)
16. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Wii (2010)
17. Braid - Xbox 360 (2008)
18. Mega Man 2 - NES (1988)
19. Left 4 Dead - PC (2008)
20. Mega Man X - SNES (1993)
21. Half-Life - PC (1998)
22. System Shock 2 - PC (1999)

The only reason I keep putting it off is bc I typically don't like turn based games. I watched a review of it awhile back and remember thinking it looked awesome but the combat was a bit of a turn off.

It's not really turn-based, though. I mean, it kind of is and it kind of isn't. You can freeze time to plan out your attacks and then execute them as one string of actions. However, while your planned attacked is executing, the enemies are moving around and also potentially attacking you, so you have to account for that.

It's pretty unique and definitely worth a shot for free.

I'll play some BF4 this weekend and some Warfighter, too. I can't remember if it was Jack Frags or Level Cap, but one of them did a video about Warfighter this week that gave me the feels.

Oh yeah. I loved it and it really impacted me. I feel like it's the only video game I've ever played that you could give to nearly anyone on the planet and they could get something meaningful out of it. It tells a story that everyone can relate to but it does it with no words. Furthermore, the interactivity of the story (the *game* part of it) is essential to the experience.

I appreciate you making the list and I don't think I could go all the way past 100. Would certainly be fun!

For games this weekend, I've been putting a lot of time into Symphonia, FF14, and Suikoden 3. It's a bit too much JRPG for me, so I'll probably start Advanced Warfare or do watch_dogs for something different.

Mortal Kombat on PS3. Playing through the Challenge Tower. Wife hates it tho. She can handle Far Cry 3 and GTA (and she loves Walking Dead) but Mortal Kombat hurts her soul. So I'll probably hook up the Dreamcast and try out Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, Shenmue..

Your list was the inspiration for it. I didn't actually intend for it to be so long. I just started listing games I've loved all the way from Atari to now and ended up with 100+.

After that Dreamcast thread, I was also thinking of re-hooking mine up. However, I might buy one of these first. I had one back when the Dreamcast was still current but got rid of it for some reason. It made the games look a lot better.
