I wasn't sure what to expect as it came free with the graphics card. I think for much of the beginning I got this feel that I would be able to pace myself explore, loot, etc. Then it just changed into run, run, shoot, hook on rails.

That's been a problem with all the bioshock games.

Build this elaborate world with a complex backstory. Devolve into a shooting gallery after the opening.

Hell, with bioshock 1 & 2, rapture was already a shitshow from square one.

Yeahhhhh. It's pretty unfortunate because I was so in to what I thought infimate was going to be about and was disappointed. Not to say it isn't a good game. Slowly became a CoD campaign.

Would have been better as a stealth game with ammo scarcity

Most certainty. And allow me to explore the wonderful city you have created for me looking for it.

Well, it is a first person shooter. The battle arenas get old, but you're so op that waves of enemies are just fish in a barrel. They also allow you to strategize with the Vigors or skylines.

Infinite is a flawed game, and it definitely could have been executed better in some areas but the backlash against it was totally unwarranted. You can't judge a game based on what it could have been or what one wished it was. I remember critics and fans bitching about the violence - 'such a beautiful game and setting and then you tear someone's face off.' It's a game about a violent man in a violent stucco facade of a world -- Columbia really isn't a city, it's a wmd.

As far as the e3 footage goes, yeah I wish the skylines were as expansive and dense as they are in the footage but you probably have consoles to blame for that. No doubt that was their original vision but was probably unplayable on PS3 and xbox360 - which already looks fricking rough in places.

And it's doesn't mean it isn't true.

I don't think it is a bad game by any means. Not in the slightest. But for someone new to it. I just felt they could have took what they had(something good) and made it great. Sky rim did it on the 360.

Ohh don't get me started on uncharted. Tomb Raider did it better and I don't know how it did but it did.

The first complaint in that critique was that the game wasn't racist enough.

The second was complaining about choices having little impact, but that's kind of the point. IMO the illusion of choice is one of the main themes.

I never could get myself to finish 2, and never played Infinite

I played through the first game until I encountered a glitch that put static on my screen for the remainder of the game. Couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I stopped playing. Really interesting game though.

I absolutely love Bioshock Infinite. It was a little to heavy on the shooting parts, but the art direction and story were fantastic.

I've seen that video and another of his, and they're really nothing but a series of nit-picks, and no, we don't need to hear the n word in the game to tell us the world is racist and oppressive.

This is going to sound preachy, but racism is a lot more than just words.

A interracial couple is tied up as a carnival act at the beginning of the game. To say that racial epithets are needed to further convey racism is not only ignorant, it's stupid.

Damn can't we just have fun in a GAME without the SJW crap. I guess all facets of life are corrupted by it now.
