I’m way behind on games I’ve been meaning to play and today is the day I start. BOTW is it. Anything to keep in mind? I heard finding shrines can be a PITA.

Aaaannd I’m dead

I’ll only give you 2 pointers:

1) After you beat your first dungeon, go to Hyrule Castle. Some posters refused to go to Hyrule Castle until they were too powerful.

2) Do not upgrade your armor more than twice, since it pretty much breaks the game on difficulty if you do.

Other than that, good luck. Explore the world to your content.

What’s the benefit to that or do you mean because it becomes too easy?

I just can't get into it. Tried it again on my trip, borrowed a friend's switch. There's the obvious annoyance of constant weapon fatigue, but it's not grabbing me.

It becomes too easy. You’ll learn how after shitloads of trial and error how to beat Guardians and other enemies that are even worse. Go to Hyrule Castle when you’re vulnerable, but not vulnerable enough to where you can at least endure more than one hit.

I don’t know if I’m getting old or what, but I bought mine day one and never touched it as well. After playing for a few hours, I don’t understand the hype, tbh. I’m pretty bored already with searching for shrines.

Maybe I’ll try getting drunk and searching?

Trying to decide between vodka or beer. And games or music.

Don't look anything up. I looked at real basic tips and tricks just to figure out some mechanics but honestly the best part about this game is discovering shite and figuring out how to use the different game mechanics to solve puzzles and what-not.

Beer always turns into liquor and games into music for me.

Air guitar. Some have called me the best since Stevie Ray Vaughn. My wife, mainly.

I had some nasty sex today on the couch while the kid was at my mother in laws. I mean... I really did and said some bad things to my wife while we got it on.

I just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks guys.

someone told me that ARMA 2 has a really solid campaign mode. Anyone played it? It's on sale this weekend for $2.60 on steam and I'm thinking about snagging it.

Don't go in expecting the dungeons to be like the old games. They aren't even close
