The two things that I can think of might make it less fun

Shoot em up...just not as satisfying that way

Not scavenging for resources (you also miss out on the story of the place that you're in)

I like even looking around the house and imagining what happened there

It's just awesome

Its my favorite game of this past gen hand down. I won't call it my favorite game ever.

I really think people who didn't turn up the difficulty setting to at least hard were not given the opportunity to enjoy the game for what it should be.

I also don't think it had the GOAT gameplay, but the story and emotions provoked have been unmatched for quite a while.

I'm sure it wouldn't be top 50 for me if I never played or beat it either.

The prologue sunk me in, then it really took a while for me to feel the immersion and connection.

I thought the prologue and opening credits were brilliant though

Plus I think after being everywhere else, the Boston quarantine is what gives you perspective on it. There's a line where Tess says "as much as we hate it, look how badly people want in" you really start to get that later in the game

And on second playthrough there are some cryptic lines that foreshadow Joel's choice at the end, but they're random and innocuous on the first play through

Yup, not meant to be played on normal or easy

I'd say normal it's still just as satisfying actually. Just not AS dire, but still pretty fricking dire

If you want me to list 50 games that I enjoyed more, I will. But you'd just continue to cry that I've never played it.

How about you just post your PSN ID so we can go check out your shiny gold game completion trophy.

If you did beat it, I will fully eat crow.

I don't

An answer will suffice. He didn't think it was top 50, ok

It's not for everyone, a lot of people probably didn't play it as it was meant to be played, some people are really invested into their console teams (which is ridiculous that it's even a thing), some people don't like 3rd person (that's all I like) and a lot of people may have been let down after hearing insane amounts of hype.

I didn't even know about the game until the day before release (a summer release?!, naughty dog?!? Ok yeah I'll buy it, but why haven't I heard anything?)

So it was also a huge surprise (I don't think I saw a review for this game. I was out of town and looking for something new to play)

From a narrative standpoint it was one of my all time favorites and it looked amazing when I finally got to play it on the PS4.

I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay though, which keeps it out of my all time favorites. It is up there though.

I don't know if I've played 50 awesome video games to begin with

I don't know how many video games I've played start to finish, I'm afraid to count.

mass effect, holy shite balls what a couple of boring games.

halo? I mean I like running around and just shooting things without variety, but I don't consider those games to be very great.

Can't say I agree with the list but I respect that you can have your own opinion on what YOU enjoy to play.
