I know we haven't seen much, but I hope they do more than this to break up the monotony of city streets.

I really should have gotten in on the beta, wanting to scratch that Destiny itch but want to try something else.

Destiny is a shell of what you left.

Yeah ever since the Taken King hit I just lost interest, sucks because I was really into it.

Will give this beta a shot, nice that it's open to everyone. Been wanting a new co-op game, anything like the raids in Destiny in this?

sic, is this game going to be everything it was billed to be and worth all the delays?

Give me a synopsis so i don't have to read 13 pages

Hmmm. Let's see if I can do this.

-The RPG element was a curve ball for a lot of people and scared a lot away, but it's not as scary as it sounds. Not sure if you ever played Borderlands, but the health bar system is pretty much that: you're not going to drop people in an instant like COD. Strategy will be involved, but nothing nerdy.

-Give the open beta a try in a couple of weeks. I think it plays really well and playing in the Dark Zone is ton of fun, but it also seems like it won't be as much if you run solo. Get some friends playing this regularly, you're fine. I think AJF has already turned his nose up on this. It's all going to depend on content, and since this was just a beta, it's hard to judge what they are going to give us. Gardoki and I both feel that it plays fun enough to get over where it could lack in story, but we'll see.

-Not a shooter. If you absolutely hate 3rd person, stay away. I'm not the biggest fan, but it didn't bother me at all. A lot of people are adamant against them, and this game won't change their mind.

I think it's totally doable to live up to all of the initial hype. I had a blast doing absolutely nothing in the Dark Zone last night.

I can explain the Dark Zone more if you need.

Not that I'm aware of, but I don't know nearly as much about this game as everyone else.

Other than the persistent world, I'm not getting the Destiny comparisons.

Loot, persistent world, hype... That's enough for people to think they are the same.

Kind of like when destiny was the new borderlands...

Perhaps.

I'd say it's a closer comparison to survival games like DayZ, but without the zombies. At least in the DZ.

I agree but you know how dumb people get with comparisons

Eh it scratches the same itch for me. Basically a co-op loot grind

I'm having fun and will definitely be purchasing it. My biggest complaint is the lack of enemies in certain areas. We found one building in the DZ next to an extraction point and just camped enemies there and extracted over and over. It got a little boring to say the least. That's when we started wreaking havoc on others

Also had a lot of fun just going from building to building in the PVE area and scavenging for loot. Found a lot of cosmetic items that way.

Can most of the buildings be entered or just select ones?
