I can see this, but I don't really get the hate for the game. I'm lvl 22 and really enjoy playing it. Might be because I didn't ever see or hear much of the hype for it.

A lot of the gripes come mainly from the ridiculous grind to reach to level 30 which burnt out a lot of people. It's much easier now to reach this level.

Was this game hyped up a lot? Of course, what game doesn't?

Did it fullfill the hype? No but very few games ever do.

Yes, the story was extremly lacking and the Grimoire card story method was, underwhelming to be nice. But, exterior game life telling is a MO for Bungie and a vast majority of Halo's lore came from outside of the game with some coming from terminals.

Most players don't realize that the infamous line from the stranger that many people poke fun at actually plays into her lore. But since most players want instant gratification (as do I) and don't want or care to invest some time to research into the lore, they wouldn't have known this fact. I dont have the time to tell you why I don't have time to tell you why she said that but since little will invest that time, I'll go ahead and tell you. She and her unknown cohorts are also in possession of time controlling technology and the vex, being the bionic super quantum computers that they are, know this and are following her to stop her on what I believe is a quest to track back to stop the creation of the vex. Her time is limited and valuable and knows she has little time to spend at a time before they recognize irregularities and hone in on her destination and point of origin (hence why when she left she was talking to someone and there was a conflict occurring on the other end). Some say it was the vex, some say other unknown threats from another dimension on the other end. The stranger is constantly hopping in and out of various time loops to obvert the vex pinpointing them on their believed quest to stop the creation of the vex.

Granted, some of this is all based on on-going online theories that others have concocted by piecing together information obtained from various Grimoire cards.

She is mysterious and intriguing and I look forward to her story playing out over time.

I enjoy the game and I've beat the story but I still have no fricking idea what the story is or isn't haha. That being said I've gotten to 23 in 3 days so either I've gotten lucky or the leveling isn't as hard

Pshhhhh I was there for for Jay wilson and the D3 debacle. Those were times that tried men's souls

Is there anything new about this game?

I'm about to play them for the first time and won't be able to run on 30 because I'm only 29. Need that raid gear stat.

I am stuck at 28, need a chest piece and gauntelets from the raid

Yeah I'm trying to run these on 30 and its damned near impossible. If anyone is on right now I'll help out.

Also, who do I buy from to get gear to get to 30? I was under the impression the only way from 29-30 is raid gear since you can only equip one exotic.

frick me, I leveled up my vanguard Monday night. If I would've known....

I was waiting to buy something after my first commendation hoping to get lucky and get a piece of gear from leveling up rep then go on from there.
