I'll be happy when you quit trying to force that space shooter down everyone's throat.

I enjoy working as a team online to win a game. Not just run and gun.

Battlefield games are longer, but the overall product is much better than any other FPS out there. They try to replicate realism as much as possible. You won't be able to put your sniper scope on someone's head across the map and get a head shot like you can in CoD. It has bullet trajectory and physics invovled in firing. They have vehicles from Tanks,ATVs, helicopters, Fighter Jets and Boats. They have i'd say 70% destructible environments to eliminate the campers.
It's a much slower paced game, and it's geared more towards a teamwork but that is the major draw of it. You won't have little kids running around with their pistols out gunning you when you are weilding an LMG type of thing. If you can handle teamwork and a slower paced game, you will fall in love with battlefield and grow to hate CoD.

That's the problem I face. I've mostly been a lone gamer who still likes Multiplayer, so unless I am in a team with people I know, I have to go solo. At the same time, I have a wife, job, kids, etc. and I very frequently have to shift gears and do something else around the house after 10-45 minutes of playing a game. COD is most ideal for solo, noncommittal fun. And I do find it fun. Shockingly, I find Battlefield fun as well.
I keep telling myself I won't buy COD Ghosts. But it's going to be yet again a huge community of gamers at all hours of the day, with run 'n gun matches for a quick fix. So I'm sure I'll have it on launch day.

Thanks for the info. Sounds pretty amazing and like it could get addicting which is what I am afraid of.
I might just get CoD and BF4 so I can have something to play for any type of situation.

BF and COD are 2 totally different games.
And BF isn't beating COD
COD is as low on the dung meter as you can get, but people want action, they don't want to run for 3 minutes to maybe find some one. So until some one creates a game that caters to runners and gunners, COD will continue to be #1, which is sad.
I had heard Microsoft was going to partner with Homefront makers to make a great action, fps, to beat COD. Then, i believe that company went under, and Homefront license was sold at auction. Haven't heard a peep about the next game from it.
I played several hours of BF4 beta, it is what it is. Not a bad game, but not the COD killer.
Some one will eventually listen to the COD communities(not the minority) and create a great fps, that has large maps for the bf fans and small and medium maps for COD players.

As far as the comedy stuff for COD commercials, it's Activisions new schtick. Has nothing to do with how they feel about the game, they still think BO2 is a great game, lol, ask Vander der Dooosh
It started with MW3, i believe, and they continue to use Hollyweirdos to sell their game and bring some wit to the commercials.

The BF4 Beta made me less excited for it.

i canceled my preorder after playing, but then reordered it. I know people who play so i figure i'll get it to mess around with, once i get tired of ghost.
especially with 2/3 of games being pushed back for new consoles, there isn't a ton to play.

I am unashamed to say I loved MW2. The gameplay was great, the campaign story line was great, even the music was great.
MW3 was disappointing. I really didn't enjoy Black Ops. BOPS2 was better, but none of the titles have come close to achieving what MW2 did for me.
I played BF3, and I thought it was really well done, albeit different from COD games.

Agreed, MW2 was an awesome game. My brother and I put so many hours into the Spec Ops on that game. Good times.

Battlefield 4 will be in my 360 for a good while. I loved the third one and 4 is even better.
