I downloaded it just because I'm dumb.

Went to a GameStop this morning though to pick up the new Amiibos. Wish I would have known this, could have saved on the witch hat wearing Pikachu we purchased.

Edt: Zelda and Kart I hate playing in handheld mode but this Mario game was made for it.

Your monitors being all different sizes and brands would kill me.

Seriously would probably die.

This is just my shop bench station, my office is 2 rooms over.

3 of these monitors are HP and one is a Dell (vertical) I just threw all this shite together from pieces for a makeshit way of having 2 server viewing screens (SCCM on one, vSphere on the other) and one desktop, the veritcal is just to monitor email inbox.

I use this workstation maybe 25% of the time, like at lunch or when checking stuff in the tech room.

My office workstation only has 3 monitors, all 24" acer same model same size

I just play my 3ds and switch in my office, no need to go to a different room for me

Is this game worth getting a Switch for? I haven't had anything Nintendo since N64. I always loved Super Mario 64, and played other Nintendo games when I was visiting friends houses. I've been having this debate as to get one or not since BoTW.

I just watched a short clip on youtube (video of the first 20 minutes of gameplay) where he threw the cap at a frog which led to a lengthy cutscene (maybe 10-15 seconds). Does it play these cutscenes every time you transform into something, or is it only for the first time and more seamless after that?

The morphing cutscene only happens the first time you transfer Mario's soul.

Zelda and this game are worth getting a Switch just for those titles.

Yes, it is worth it IMO.

Amazon sent my copy to the wrong carrier facility, so it's delayed.

If you like Nintendo games, generally, it's a no brainer. If you're more "I just want to play these well reviewed games," that's a different question and I'd probably say no.

Learned my lesson when I was waiting for highly anticipated RDR back in 2013 or w/e that came out. After I missed it by 2 days I'll always pre-order and pick up at store. Or go digital.

I haven't really been in to Nintendo games since my 64. I did however beat Ocarina of time about 20 times. My gaming has usually been FPS and RTS's for the most part. I just don't think I've been Nintendo's market as I got my first PS1 when I was around 12 years old. I do like the portability of the Switch however, and it would be nice to have to travel with.

I'm enjoying Mario more than I am Zelda. The last mario I played was sunshine and this one brings me back to that 64 feeling. Even cursing mario the frick out for not doing what I want him to do. Wouldn't have it any other way.

If this is the case, I would say yes. Now that it's getting parity with indie titles, you may just purchase them on the Switch instead for portability. Throw in the Nintendo 1st parties and some key 3rd parties and it's well worth the investment.

And if you like FPS's and haven't been into Nintendo since the 64 I highly recommend Splatoon 2.

Just could not get into Splatoon during Wii U and the demos we had on the Switch.

Recognize it's well made, but doesn't pull me in what so ever.
