If they break this "10/10" game where I can't do shite with playing handheld (I play 50/50 docked and handheld) I'm going to be aggravated. How can a game get that many 10's if it's broken in the switch's biggest feature mode of portability. ?

Played through a bit of the sand kingdom
Love it so far

And I hear the co-op part of it is poop. But who plays Mario for co-op?

Exactly...I had the same question. I don't own a tablet, and when I'm on a plane I'd rather not bring out a laptop or watch Netflix on my phone. Being able to download movies and shows from Netflix onto the Switch would be awesome for me.

I've only played handheld. there are only 2 things that I can't do in handheld and one of them is if you miss your throw you can make it auto target nearest enemy/object. nice feature but not having it doesn't break the game
the other is throwing your hat in a circle.

a month ago it was reported by a lot of outlets that the app was ready awaiting Nintendo's approval
so probably soon, but I don't know that you'll be able to download movies onto your switch

thought I heard in the quick look that it was optional?
Not with the procontrollers.
JoyCons you have the option of Y or shake.

YouTube and Netflix would be killer on this thing.
Edt: the switch feels good in hand and premium. More so than my Nexus 7 and nVidia Shield of the same size.

I have no complaints about the switch other than the streaming apps which would be nice in bed
I would like virtual console too, but I have had 3 total weeks where i didn’t have a game I was hooked on

Youtube and Netflix are supposed to be coming in the near future. They've enabled a Japanese streaming app, NicoNico, on devices there, so the speculation is that, once they reach agreements with the companies. more should be on the way.
Here's an article about it:

On a sidenote (and I know everyone else says the same): I can't believe how much I play this thing in handheld and how awesome it is to have that ability. My old gaming looked like:
1) Wife in living room, looking at her phone or laptop, television on.
2) Me in gaming room, playing.
3) Wife yelling at me that I don't want to spend time with her.
Then I stopped gaming much (for a variety of reasons) and our nights looked like this:
1) Wife in living room, looking at her phone or laptop, teleivision on.
2) Me, actually watching television on couch in living room with her.
3) Me wishing I could game on the television, but having to acknowledge that gaming on the television in the background drives wife crazy (even though she's hardly watching whatever is on the TV, but does occasionally comment on the show).
Now it looks like this:
1) Wife in loving room, looking at phone or laptop, television on.
2) Me, sitting next to her on couch, hearing same show in background.
3) Me playing the Switch in handheld.
Everyone's happy.

Just learned I need the joy cons separated from the tablet for a spin throw.
Fckk you Nintendo.

It's a pretty standard feature on Netflix apps (phones, computers, etc) to be able to download something for offline viewing, so if you can't do that on the Switch then that would be a big disappointment.

I think you can rotate the stick to do the spin throw, that's what I heard at least.

It's been reported on that it works but not verified yet during testing
Nintendo fails on handheld mode for Odyssey
I've been all about Nintendo since I traded in my PSVR for the Switch back in March, this is the first fail from me.
How can you NAIL Zelda but then break your #1 cash cow and flagship in handheld mode?
You have a unanimous 10/10 game that is broken in the mode that the switch is touting as it's distinguishing feature.

Nintendo gonna Nintendo unfortunately...
Luckily I will probably not play it in handheld that much. I also hate splatoon in handheld, so I'm used to it

Yep. The controls are something Nintendo always fckks up.
Doesn't take away from it being an all time great game IMO. It feels like a more refined Mario 3D World for the Wii U with Super Mario 64 aspects.
Really enjoying it so far. Just know I will not be ?? the game with the controls limitation.
