Starfield is a AAA game and they seem to be putting a frickTON of effort into it. There's nothing definitive out right now but I would be surprised if they didn't.

Fallout 76 was patched back in December to allow it, ESO allows it (with at least PC, no idea on console). Both of those are older games.

At the very least I would think PC players could just edit the ini file.

I want to say the last major Bethesda release that didn’t was Fallout 4 (which is half the reason I’ve still never played it). Even Dishonored 2, which came out a couple of years later, played flawlessly in 21:9. I would be shocked if Starfield didn’t ship with UW capabilities native.

Starfield's version of a deathclaw?

Positive Starfield review leaves gamers cautiously hyped.

Also just realized that was from the IGN Direct last month. Whoops. I'll leave it just in case it's new to anyone else.

yeah, my thinking as well, but as Josh said, previous BGS launches didn't support it so was wondering if anyone here had more info than I did.

if any game needs ultra wide, it's this. the views are going to be fricking amazing.

It'll be relevant for 10+ years because of mods so if you ever wanted to build another pc, you'll get the chance.

The constellation edition is selling out less than a minute after it's being restocked. I was finally able to get one from bestbuy

Have we seen the "Starfield has gone gold" picture studios will usually post, or do they not do that anymore? Since we're moving to a strictly digital format at some point I wonder if that's more of just a tradition and not an actual development milestone.

Early access in 23 days.

Question to the thread: do you play Bethesda games 1st person or 3rd person? I'm 1st person myself, often surprising myself when I sit down and "oh, that's what I'm wearing".

It depends on the game, but generally 3rd person (so I can see if someone sneaks up behind me).

Bethesda just released the 300 year history leading up to the Starfield. Love this kind of stuff.

Having only started playing No Mans a month or so ago, this seems like simply a visual update to that...

Can't wait to play it still

I've played my fair share of NMS. NMS has essentially zero story. Yeah, there's an end goal of story mode, but it's extremely basic. Starfield will actually have a story and a deep game universe.
