They held a twitter poll about what is going to be your go to food and I replied that like all of my Bethesda characters, this pour soul is going to live on med packs and not touch an ounce of food or water.

Credits are an extremely common currency in sci-fi, from books to movies/TV to games. It would honestly surprise me to hear they used anything else.

I'm so pumped for this game. I feel like this is the Space RPG i've always wanted. Feels like RDR. I didn't realize the release date was so close. Luckily my rig i built for my racing sim should handle it.
I was psyched for No Man's Sky and it was a disaster, although it apparently got way better after updates and further releases, but i had already bailed.

I keep wanting to go back to it but I've learned that survival games just aren't my thing.

Do you have an SSD? That's required to play this game. Might be a dumb question since I'm sure most of not all modern rigs have them and I'm sure you went with that when you built.

You can never have too much NVME drive space. I have 3TB and I have to actively talk myself out of buying another 2TB drive anytime the SK Hynix P41 goes on sale
