I was wondering, is Starcraft 2 a addicting game because I have the game but I've never really played it and I'm going to start playing it.

Depends upon how much you like it and how good you want to get.
I got it in March and I've only not played it probably 10 days in that whole time. It's so easy to play a round then sign off. The addicting part is laddering and finding your favorite custom.

Finally got into ladder matches, and I somehow ended up in the Silver ladder after only winning 1 of my 5 placement matches. Is that weird or what?

2-1 in my placement matches. One was the other guy timing out and the other I pretty much blasted the guy like I'm sure stout gets worked in his console FPSs. Getting scared b/c I am only good at (and only know) one decent build order with terran.

I been going 2port banshee with the cloak and following that up with . Just lost my last 2 matches to zerg ling rush and toss DTs. In gold division.

I play against Terran opponents probably 80% of the time and still get steamrolled everytime

I'm Platinum but probably shouldn't be. Can't decide if I want to master 1 base or 2 base Zerg first. I like the idea of 2 base for quick roaches but meh
