He goes into this long rambling incoherent filibuster causing the enemies to commit suicide

Just like the lightsabers locking during jedi/sith fights

They could do the same thing with Finn/Phasma with their electric stick swords

Probably not something you want to do (calling out the fanbase) as a community dev.

This may be the biggest shite show of micro transactions and P2W in a AAA game I’ve ever seen.

EA’s defense of the hero cost also officially became the most downvoted post in the history of Reddit tonight lmao

Thank god I did not pre order this bullshite. As a Star Wars fan I am so disappointed. The game plays like a dream. It looks great. It feels great. It is FUN.

And I won't be buying it.

You have to grind for hundreds of hours to unlock Vader. So pay 60+ bucks and you can't use Vader until Easter if you grind really hard or pay more.

frick that.

This is the most blatant money grab I have ever seen. I am all for devs getting paid for their product. I can even get behind microtransactions for certain things. But this ... this is a whole other level.

I've honestly been looking at this game just because some of my favorite content creators have been playing it (Threatty, Sacriel, Stodeh) and it looks amazing. I also want to find a flying game to get back into playing with a joystick, and this looked like it was going to be one I could do that with.

This P2W stuff is dominating the headlines right now though.

I'm hoping they change the amount of credits needed for heroes.

I'm still buying regardless

It's a 60 dollar console game with the design philosophy of a free-to-play mobile game.

Even if you take the microtransactions out, tying class progression to random loot boxes is a bizarre choice.

I'm not opposed to microtransactions in premium games. Modern games are horribly expensive to make, and $60 alone is barely cutting it anymore. Developers are looking for other ways to make more money off the title so that they can continue the high production values we have grown to expect from a AAA release.

This though is probably the worst possible way I've seen to implement microtransactions into a $60 game. Rather than designing the game then sticking in microtransactions for convenience, it would appear Battlefront II's entire design philosophy revolves around microtransactions.

I wish this was a steam game. I just made $60 on Steam off of my pubg skins and cases, so I need to spend it on a new game

Do you not have to have purchased the deluxe edition or whatever to actually play before Friday?
