Different ore levels

Scroll down a little and there's a chart for each ore and what levels they are commonly found in. I generally stay above 1-5 when mining.

I have always found the sweet spot for mining is standing on top of level 10. You can see some of 10 on the floor, two sides of 11 and 12, and 13 on top. Digging up dirt and around lava pools finds stuff pretty easy too.

yeah, there are plenty of public servers out there.

I believe modding for consoles is very limited to what they release officially through the console stores. It is nothing like the level of mods for PC.

How do you join public servers? Do you have to be friends with them or could you join into a random server?

I hollowed out a mountain for my main base. Underneath it I have a mine that is so obnoxiously large. I have to have arrows in the ground so I don't get lost.

Mining is the most relaxing and therapeutic thing to do after a long day

Also places torches on the left side of the walls in your mines so on your way out they'll be on the right.

Do you mean your mines or the games' mines?

Cause the ones you make...this is the best method...but the mines in the games get confusing real quick.

Console player opinion: PC, not even close.

Unless you have friends who play Minecraft on console. I've played Minecraft since its introduction on consoles to Xbox 360 3 years ago. I got it for PC this past summer, mind blown.

Skins. Mods. Public servers. World size.

You can plug an old Xbox 360 controller into your PC and get a plugin that'll allow you to use it on the PC.

yea my base is in the mountains as well. tunneled down with the plan to start strip mining but I've run into an extensive cave network that I'm having a blast exploring. keep finding caves that work back to the surface I didn't know about and caves that circle back and intersect caves I've already explored.

I started out just putting my torches everywhere, now I've had to go back and replace torches to the right side of caves. that way they'll be on the left when I'm trying to leave.
