The game gets a lot of hate around here but I love it. All of the updates and a few mods have made it a really fun and less aggravating game to play. Offline mode should make it even more so.

SimCity is a game which has a lot of potential and is pretty fun. I'm really looking forward to the mods, and perhaps making some myself. It depends on how much you can mod - for example, the pathfinding could really use some work but EA may just give you a custom RCI building maker and call it a day.
If they just let you up the city size limit and use custom servers it'll fix some of the main issues IMHO.

So they are just going to pretend they never said it was physically impossible?
I guess so.

City size limit was actually a game design choice.
They literally can't make them as big as SimCity 2000/3000 without breaking the game.

they did it to open themselves to more potential customers. they said older computers wouldn't run it if they opened the world more.
if they could just double the size of regions it would help immensely. you could have actual suburbs and upgrade your city without destroying everything you did prior.
