What about redundancy?
Say MS has 3 systems, one is the diversion system that works on observing and preventing the attacks while the other two operate the actual service. However all service must originate through the first server?

I'll summarize it like this: If you were to figure out how to completely negate DDOS attacks, you'd be the richest man alive. MOTHER frickER! I was online for like 2 hours while I was playing NBA and I saw someone from TD on Destiny so I clicked "Join Game" and it kicked me off and now it won't let me back on. frick you people and frick being social.
