I don't think anyone was arguing the quality of Indie games. I think it is the consensus that the reason the 360 has so many games is because it was so easy for Indies to publish games on XBLA that the 360 had a lot of shite indie titles.

Best I can find shows only about 1,100 x360 games. Not sure how they came up with the 1700, but I'm sure I'm missing something.

Going back to his original point, that I missed, some developers don't all agree that the 360 catered more to indie games. LINK

To me this is says it is far from fact.
