I was casually rooting for Seattle
I'm not a butthurt Saints fan just because they've had our number for a few years
I'm not invested enough to be upset at all, but its gonna be tough for Pete to live with that call
He overthought the call and paid dearly

If the receiver gets better position it's brilliant. But you have to run Lynch there. There's no excuse for being too cute, Sean Pete Carroll.

Honestly I think Carrol gave a pretty legitimate excuse
He was thinking of the play as a free shot that would stop the clock leaving time for 2 more running plays
That pass play had a low percentage of being intercepted IMO, Butler just made the play of his life
I can't hate Pete for the play but I know he'll hear about it for a long damn time

I'm just over them constantly running their mouths. Wilson is the only guy on that team I think is stand up.

No one was expecting it. And that's usually high percentage. At least it's a hard one to pick UNLESS the defender knows it's coming, and Butler knew they were going to call that before Wilson woke up yesterday morning. Lynch was going to get it next play if it didn't work. Of course they were going to run, but the Pats did stuff him on that first drive of the second half on a 3rd and short, and they were set up to defend the run. Why not call it? Hindsight is a bitch.

My wife was trying to see who would win her work pool and kept saying "if Seattle scores". I said, no way. They need a TD. Then, they got down there. I said, who has 1 and 8 because they are just going to run Lynch. Then, the pass happened. Gotta say, I'm kind of a butthurt Saints fan, so I had a little smile on my face watching Sherman's face as he watched the INT. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him if he were a Saint, but alas, he is not.
