I can see how it's fun but I'm not jumping for joy for it. I like talking shite to foreigners and kids. If Penn is playing Fat Princess while I'm playing Uncharted what's the point?

As fun as it is, game chat isn't always about "shite talking". Being able to chat with my friend who is playing Minecraft while I play Halo is a nice feature.

I love the "I refuse to pay for online service" bs. $48 for a 12 month sub. If $2-$5 a month is too much then you probably shouldn't be spending money on video games anyway

Gaming Board was probably the first place I started posting when I came to TD. It was OT and GB. I just recently (last week) started posting on SECR in the UGA section.

If I am playing an FPS, there is no way i'm going to be in a private party chat to chat with someone playing Madden. I like to communicate with my teammates in FPS games.

ESPN3 is cool and all, but I could just simply stream that on my laptop while playing videogames if I really wanted to.

I get what you are saying and regular 1 on 1 cross game convos would be weird but think bigger... 4-8 people playing 2-3 games but can still chat.
