Do you guys really care if you haven't seen it? I mean, I get it, how do you hype like this and then not even show the thing, but it really is just a plastic box with computer crap inside. I don't care.
I know a lot of people aren't happy with the lack of info either, like specs, etc. That's what's more interesting.

how can you "reveal" a console without actually showing it?
seems like sony wanted to be "first" without showing they were actually first. childish marketing ploy IMO.

It's the computer crap inside I'm most interested in. If you had the chance to play BF3 on PC, you'd realize the disparity.

Sony is desperate and NEEDS to be first to the market. Xbox has dominated the past 3 years (not counting Wii because why would I) and Sony is trying to turn the tide.
Analyst agree that Sony has to be first to the market or it may be bad for them. That's why they did what they did last night but for some reason they are scared to release specs and price before MS does.

Stop it. I don't want to play BF3 on a PC. I watch girls show me their genitals on my PC, but I don't play video games on it. I know you're trying to make a point, but I don't care.
Now, what Anti said is more in line with my thinking. And I even read that the Watch Dogs demo was done on a PC with specs close to a retail PS4. I don't know how true that is, though. Wasn't the guy holding a PS4 controller during the demo? I didn't watch it all.

The point is how much better it plays on PC. He was just saying he cares about the specs to see if it would at least be on par with how much better BF3 on PC looks vs current gen consoles.

ETA: The real point is that BF3 on current pc hardware looked better than anything shown last night. Next-gen consoles are already behind.

So if the costs and the hassle of putting a gaming rig together wasn't an issue, you still wouldn't want to game on a PC?

dont tell the guys but in a few months im putting together a rig for the "house". we havent had a PC in 10 yrs.

If someone would build it with the best stuff I need for the same price as console and throw in controllers, hook it up to my tv, do all this again for all my friends, then create a XBL kind of community that interconnects all gamers no matter what they are playing so we can interact with each other ... then yeah I'd go PC.
But as long as it is easier and more accessible for consoles then I'll do that instead ... oh yeah I like controllers.

Eh, still stand by what I said. Virtually no chance they don't show the console at E3 with a 2013 holiday release.

Most PC games support controllers now.
But if your friends aren't on board as well, it's hard to make that switch. There is a big PC gaming community, but everyone wants to play with their friends. Completely understandable.
I do plan on buying this sometime down the road. I honestly don't feel like paying for online service anymore, and playstation is my roots.
