Yeah frick 29.99 and I had premium on PS4 so I'd want the new maps again. Not worth.

The 270X is for 1080P, and the 970/980 is for 1440P. So, go ahead and get the 970, as well as a cheap QNIX QX2710, or the not-so-cheap and also never-available-anywhere ASUS ROG Swift with GSync.

Yep, I can't do TN either that's why I said I'll get the more expensive BenQ IPS 1440p monitor over any cheaper TN.

I'm wondering how it does with variations in framerates such as 40-70. They said it would smooth that out a while back so you won't get tearing and won't notice the stutter.

I can't imagine not noticing stutter with frame drops if you're using your mouse heavily. The responsiveness decreases as frame rate decreases, so when using a mouse to manipulate camera/view, you'll always get a perception of stutter/lag with huge frame variances. What I look forward to doing, when I one day finally get a gsync/freesync monitor, is being able to cap a game at my average frame rate and enjoy the lack of tearing.

I agree. I hate games that won't let me maintain 60 fps. Use v sync and it drops to 30, don't use it and have bad screen tearing. Ubisoft should really support vsync

Nope. You won't see any PC parts go on any significant sale for Black Friday or cyber Monday (besides maybe HDDs, mice or keyboards).

No they're Samsung PLS panels. It's basically Samsung's version of IPS.

Must have gone up. Plus panels are overclockable (highest I've seen is 125). I got mine up to 120
