Yeah, that's a good one once you get past the steep learning curve. Admittedly, I haven't, but I found Sony Vegas a little easier. The important thing is that the software you use is actually programmed to take advantage of your hardware most effectively. Those non-professional home/consumer programs (like Cyberlink/Windows Movie Maker/Pinaccle/iMovie/etc) are designed to work with low-end machines and in fact get no benefits from workstation rigs, because they don't really need or use high-end GPUs for rendering, don't use more than 4 threads/cores for rendering or encoding, nor do they cache entire projects to RAM and instead rely on the speed of your hard drive/SSD.

If it were me and I was going to be doing more video editing and processing/rendering than anything else I would go with a x99 board and a Haswell-E CPU over Skylake because of more cores especially if I was going to be focusing on 4k video; or are you only looking to game at 4k?

You can pick up a 5920K for about $385.00 on Amazon right now, which is 6 cores running at 3.3Ghz that you can easily overclock to about 4.2-4.5 Ghz. You're going spend more than $150.00 on a mother board also, though.

I think I'm going to upgrade to a Kaby Lake i7 from my current Sky Lake i5 this fall. Should get a release date at IDF next week.

Anyone need DDR4 RAM before I sell it on eBay/Hardware swap?

16GB (4x4) Mushkin Redline DDR4-3000.

I used it in my system for the last 6 months or so.

I forgot to tell you guys but I rented some office space and a warehouse for my business but the cool thing is that I am building my own private break area that can only be accessed through my office. Putting a TV, cable, Xbone in it plus a sofa I can go chill on.

Masturbating Room.

It's a must for free thought thinking.

Nah, consulting on a new PET facility being built by M&G out of China. Will be the largest plastics producer in the world in 18 months.

My secretary is going to wonder why I go home sockless every day.

It's mostly for me to watch football when I work on weekends.

This is a good idea. I don't mind working weekends dueing football season if I can enjoy the game while doing so. Sometimes I'm in the situation to do so and sometimes I'm not.

Both of yall have worked from home before, and it's all I've done for the past several years. Do yall prefer the travel/office space life over the hermit life?

I could still work from home but I chose to rent an office if that tells you how much I grew tired of it.

It seems hard to work out of a home office. I would have a hard time not fckking off.

I work at home and at an office provided by a client. Doesn't matter to me. I generate revenue at either.
