I think the pump is failing, after playing for a while the fans really ramp up and this has never happened before. I have everything at stock (checked to make sure.) I am not OCing so I just need something to keep it cool that isn't loud. I will probably build new at years end.

What are your CPU temps when the fans ramp up? Might be the reason your frame rate was tanking so bad in Tomb Raider.

I have the D12 still on a old Haswell build, which used to be my server. The thing was whisper quit. The Noctula brown does suck and I would never put it inside a main rig but they pollute every build inside my house.

You can always sub out the fans to a black/negro Noctula fan.

Size is fine and necessary, but yes, the color. If you're not gonna offer color options or some kind of shroud over the top, at least make the one color option not so damned polarizing. If I ever went back to air cooling, I would have to paint or replace those fans.

138F is not even 60C, so that's well under the danger zone. It would need to be at least 90 to start throttling.

I saw it recommended 16GB so I got one of those. They are so damn cheap anyway.

What is the intel equivalent of my AMD FX-8320 processor? I am trying to price a PC upgrade but don't want to go over say $400 for CPU/MOBO. I could probably stand upgrade my 760 GPU as well.

In gaming terms, an 1155 core i5.

Well, you wouldn't want that CPU anyway. It is old. Jcole just said socket 1155 because that was the platform around the same time the 8320 was released, and it was meant to contend with Intel's offeribg at the time. Besides, why would you want the equivalent rather than an upgrade? A CPU and mobo combo under $400 is easily done. No need to spend more than $100-$130 on the motherboard. Just get a 4690k and an ASRock z97 fatal1ty killer mobo. Or the Gigabyte gaming 5. Anything that can tolerate a mild overclock so you can get the 4690k to around 4.3ghz or so.

I was looking at equivalent so I could price check, not so much stay the same.
