I've been playing for about an hour and it's great, minus the glitch that has it locked at 30FPS during gameplay, cutscenes are unlocked. I'd imagine that will be a quick hotfix tomorrow, I haven't tried the manual unlock.

But everything else seems solid, running the 15.6 Batman drivers from AMD. Really enjoying it about an hour in.

Yeah same here, the locked 30fps wasn't a big deal as I'm used to it on PS4. The textures look a little strange at times and I do notice minor random flickering.

All in all, we have seen much worse launches. This article blows it up for clicks IMO.

Edt: The lack of SLi is annoying, but will try and force SLi tomorrow and 60fps in nVidia Inspector.

I seriously love these Batman titles.

Edt2:

For people with the 30FPS issue. Go to the installation folder Batman Arkham Knight\BmGame\ Config\BmSystemSettings.ini and look in the file for "MaxFPS=30" change it to what you want. :)

Unlocked the FPS and gave it a shot, not bad at all? 45-49 average, high speed in the Batmobile drops down to around 34 or so, rooftops and walking around 60FPS.

Waaaaay overblown.

Yeah, I took my cards out of SLi and using the 2nd for physics. The game is running good, but textures still seem shtty.

Yeah, they're meh, but whatever I'll deal with that minor shite until they patch it soon enough with some updated textures. Game is awesome so far no doubt.

I don't think calling for the Batmobile will ever get old.

Weird how they just have 2 textures options. Something has to be turned off or hidden. IMO AA and AC looked better, but we didn't have a Bat Mobile.

They probably cut back because of that damn thing.

Oh well, it feels great to being back in this world.

Funny because @ 1440 I’m hitting 2.5-2.7GBs, now I didn’t notice what happens when calling for the Batmobile. It seems like this action caches some serious data, but I’m not experiencing any VRAM issues yet with just 3072MBs.

The drivers are most likely card specific in VRAM usage, idk as I will need to check again today. This game doesn’t have many setting options like most GameWorks titles. Basically the video settings panel is a series of On/Off switches.

How hard is it to stream on twitch with a PC?

Very easy. Use a free program like Open Broadcaster Software or XSplit and you'll be on your way.

This is an old guide, but should still be helpful. LINK

Awesome. I'm trying to get the logistics together. I want to do the 24 hour extra life stream in November for kids. I want to donate to the children's hospital in Birmingham where my daughter was.

DDR4 is shite so far and is causing the market to drop pretty fast on top of other factors?

I wouldn't say shtt, it will be great for the mobile market with Skylake.

Less voltage, tighter timings and higher frequencies will give you longer battery like with a performance boost. I'm excited about the mid-range tier of CPUs finally supporting DDR4. It will be great for laptops.

They had trouble with the new manufacturing process, happens during every new tech launch. Yeilds always increase after the process matures.

Nah, not much to say other than it'll get better. I've been unenthusiastic about DDR4 from the start, at least for early adoption. DDR4 specs were abysmal at first but are getting faster and cheaper, and eventually there will be an offering faster than my current 2133 CL9 DDR3. Mobile will indeed benefit from any successes in making it faster and lower voltage. However, I have a feeling we won't see much SO-DIMM DDR4 with Skylake. The IMC also supports DDR3L for the sole purpose of making it less costly for notebook makers to transition to Skylake.
