Did you get a chance to hook it up and did it help?

No It came in yesterday. Between the baby and being my busy time of year it is hard to do anything non essential even if I do consider that essential.

Cool, let me know how it works. If it's positioned near a wall, I'd recommend mounting it on the wall, at least at head height if not higher, if the wife allows.

My PC has been acting the past couple of days and I have no clue where to go for help. I'll just ask here.

It seems almost everything with Adobe crashes, whether it's shockwave or flash or air. Also, some programs that I open never appear on the desktop. They'll be running in the task manager, but on screen.

I've reinstalled/redownloaded them all multiple times. I'm just lost.

Just suddenly the past couple of days? Have you tried a system restore? Installed anything the correlates with it acting funny?

Try performing a clean boot to help eliminate conflicts with drivers and software.

How to perform a clean boot

I found others that have the same motherboard issues that I had.

I have no clue how to test if the incoming RMA replacement will suffer the same problems. Any methods to test a motherboard short of building and booting?

Don't paste mobile links for newegg. Doesn't work.

Hopefully ASRock has addressed this. But the only effective way of testing it is to connect your basic peripherals and boot. Did you try changing the cmos battery? Seems to be what the issue was for some.

Somebody on the tech board is asking about that same router. It looks unimpressive. That refurb AC66 blue posted would be much better.

Obviously not looking to upgrade right now but I was thinking a few days ago about when I do need to upgrade my video card, is it as simple as taking the old one out and putting the new one in? Or do I have to go through an installation process?

Assuming your PSU can handle it, and you're upgrading to a GPU made by the same company (i.e., AMD to AMD, nvidia to nvidia), then yes, it's as simple as taking the old one out and putting the new one in.

I did not go out and find another cmos battery. There was no troubleshooting offered by ARrock or resistance on the RMA, so I didn't bother pursuing the battery. Thanks for the help!

At least the second time around, the cooler installation should be much less nerve wracking.

I have 400 to throw around and I can upgrade a 3770 or my 7950. What should I look at?
