When people say massive, they really mean massive too.

I have multiple days of gameplay and I just finished what I think is the first act.

I'm at 120 hours and have tons left to do in Skellige.

It can be overwhelming at times.

It can be completed much faster than that, but I like exploring and hate leaving ? unchecked.

Although I am not sure I am going to finish everything in Skellige.

the games can be long but not in a meaningful way (i.e., padded with repetitive but necessary quests for gear/XP/money grinding).

BTW GoCrazyAuburn if you know how I can get on the Auburn board let me know (submitted requests twice so far). I want to start posting here and there but tRant is just too much for me most of the time.

I'll see what I can do to help. I made a request for you to get in. If you make me look bad, there will be hell to pay

ETA: I think you should be good to go

Yea, I got to the point in Skellige where doing the extra stuff wasn't going to help me level up needed levels, it would be more just an accomplishment, so I then went with the story.

I spent a good deal of time sailing about on Sunday and pretty much everything was just smugglers garbage.

Don't have a game waiting to be played and with the Batman melt, I will avoid it for now so I have the time to keep working on Witcher.

I still hate leaving ?s so I might end up doing everything.

Not going to touch Gwent. It helps that I already failed Gwent because I didn't play the Baron.

Haha I appreciate you doing that man, I only asked because I see you on there regularly. And I generally try to behave myself on the internet or else I don't participate at all - so no worries there.

Odd happening.

Some witch hunters were picking on some peasants so I kept talking to the witch hunters.

So they got pissed and attacked.

LVL 45!

Two hit killed knocked me out and robbed me. So I reloaded.

This time I potioned up and raised my shield and I killed those four lvl 45 bitches! No drops.

So I finished a tiny side quest and passed by the same spot. Evidently I didn't kill them. Just knocked them out. They were awake and pissed when I passed again so they attacked and I knocked them out again.

Wonder why I couldn't kill them. None had any name other than witch hunter. Didn't want them pestering me each time I pass by so I reloaded to right before I originally pissed them off.

That's how I did it. Went nearly completionist in White Orchard/Novigrad/Velen. Only about 3 or 4 ?'s left. But I have no interest in knocking them all out in Skellige. Boating around and diving for generic stuff is boring. And it's much more difficult getting around on land as well since it's so mountainous.

But absolutely gorgeous. Velen is such a wasteland and kinda depressing, novigrad looks pretty awesome. Then I got to skellige, and was blown away by the beauty.

I even like the ambient music better in Skellige

I'll agree with that. The music in Skellige is awesome.

SPOILER QUESTION - About how far I am in the main quest story after doing main quests on Skellige

I just did the main quest with Yen and necromancied that guy and did Yen's extra quest. How far am I?

Maybe 75%. Hard to say, but you definitely have a good bit of game left.

How do I find these DLC quests? I didn't see any of the notice boards go yellow once I downloaded them.

The new contract released this week is supposedly on the Fyresdal notice board.

The game does a really good job of making you think you're closer to finishing than you really are. I thought the final battle was upon me but then found out that there was an entire other Act afterwards.

The acts are described like this by most on Reddit,

Prolouge: White Orchard
Act 1: Velen, Novigrad and Skellige
Act 2. Kaer Morhen up to until you return to Skellige
Act 3. After you return to Skellige

Thanks for saving me the time. I was going to try to hit every ? area, but the most tedious element of this game is diving for chests. It's especially annoying to have to loot a letter, track the new quest, open inventory to read the letter, and then dive for a chest.

I only hit about 10 spots on Sunday but I assume anything in the water is a smugglers cache and anything on a single island will be a guarded treasure.

This game is massive. I feel like I have been in Novigrad for most of my time playing. Finally broke off to explore more of Skellige.
