If so, I got hosed, cause there was nothing that high in there
ETA: Also, has anyone freed to captured blacksmith to the south ofMulburydale, along the river? He said something about meeting him at his forge in what I thought he said was Mulburydale and he'd have something for me. Went there, found a forge and some guy that looks like him, but I can't talk to him. Anyone else run into this?

Yesterday was day 2 of playing. Gathered the ingredients to lure the gryphon. I ended up just wandering around doing a bunch of side quests.
I wish there was a way to tell if the quest was going to be something lame like a bandit hideout or something fun like when I got to investigate that guy who killed someone for medicine.

Lol I ran into one ? yesterday in Velen where it was a guy claiming to fight 100 knights to the death for a woman. I won't say anything else but it made me laugh pretty hard. It wasn't long or anything, just funny.

Good thing I waited on buying the emerald dust for 545 orens..I just raided a bandit camp that had 2 stashed away..

I will have to figure out the whole weapon making thing...I got some sort of serpent steel weapon (schematic?) in a bandit camp yesterday.
I have just been taking everything while I am looting. Is this the correct strategy or am I supposed to be more selective?

That's the one...once u craft it (just get all the materials ..you can see them at the blacksmith crafting option..they are the crafters of weapons)

get everything...and if you didn't get the saddlebags for your horse at the white orchard blacksmith dwarf selling it ..go back and buy them..it adds 30 points to your carry weight

it's really how it would be if you were getting attacked by multiple enemies. your sword and signs can only do so much vs a group of mobs that surround you. people complaining about the fighting style not being able to hold up against multiple enemies should remember that

I'm not complaining, and it makes sense, it just took a bit to adjust my fighting style from Skyrim and Assassin's Creed to this game. I'm still working on the transition, honestly.

i think any generic merchant will take it.
It has certain buffs if you have it equipped so sell carefully.

thought I would kill the griffon yesterday, but started going to all the question marks on the map. really enjoying doing that. I'll get to the griffon at some point.

I found some new silver sword called "Maugrim," I think. I found it in the quest where you're running through that cave with Keira and it's way stronger than the Witcher silver sword. Loving it so far.
