I never find mercy to be sufficient enough as a sole healer. I think you need at least a Lucio or Zen with Mercy to have adequate healing.
Zarya, Rhinehardt, Lucio, mercy/Zen, and then two of tracer, reaper, mccree, and genji make a pretty fricking good squad. Pop Zarya or Rhine ult and have mccree or reaper rape with their ult

I have found that you should have 2 DPS, 2 Tanks, and 2 Healers.
I don't think it matters which ones as long as they fit in to the above.

I like to Mei alot. She's a character that can constantly harass and distract the opposing team.

A well played Mei or Winston can damn near win the game on payload maps because the other team can't just ignore you and it eats up there time.

Mei is awesome on choke point maps. Let one or two of the other team in, wall up behind them then rape those 2.

It really pisses me off when a Mei teammate just completely closes off all the opponents when you're fighting at a choke.
Basically lets everyone heal back up and restart.

Well in the 4 matches I've played today, in 3 of them players on my team have quit. I'm so sick and tired of losing ranking because some dickhead didn't want to play anymore or was losing.
As much as I hate counter strikes competitive cooldown, I see why it's there.
Either I suck really bad or I have the worst luck in matchmaking because I'm about 7-30 W/L the console community is really pissong me off.

First comp game, I go on fire in like 30 seconds with zen, we take the first objective on Hollywood in 45 seconds and then someone on the other team quits and the game ends.

In my experience yes, but im not 100% sure how it works. Part of the reason I hate solo queing so much, but I dont always have the option to team up with anyone.

Anyone have any clue how the placement matches work? I'm debating finishing my last 2 matches solo or with a few people. I'm 7-1 so far through them, so I don't want to frick up my placement if I lose
