Probably. That's actually smart. Bc if I didn't have the money to buy new games I could just get all the demos and play them over and over.

Yep. I still have the NCAA 14 demo, FIFA 14 demo, FIFA World Cup 14 demo, and some others on my PS3

I don't know, so this is all speculative, but it seems illogical to think you could buy the full release and still be locked into the one character.

I imagine you'll be able to start over.

The Prelude feels similar to a timed demo.

*General

- Coach K will be featured in a new in-game tutorial (2KU) teaching basketball basics to new players

- The new 2K17 intro video is made by Shady00018 who creates amazing NBA 2K videos.

- Dynamic broadcast teams with a different combo of commentators and sideline reporter for each game. Total 11 commentators that change based on the city you play in.

- Shoe accuracy and other accessories will now update as NBA players change their look throughout the year.

- Online matchmaking can be "personalized" (no more same color jerseys)

- Instead of being forced to go into each player’s edit screen to change attributes and details, you’ll be able to toggle over to any rating or detail to make changes on the team roster screen.

- No new hairstyles BUT possible more could be released down the line

- No new classic teams

- Historical player renders have been redone including Steve Kerr and Dennis Rodman

- Only Team USA and Australia and ONLY available in Play Now

*Graphics

- Over 300 shoes are in NBA 2K17, all of them are 3D scanned including retro shoes

- Arena-specific sounds for all 30 teams including including buzzers, balls, fans.

- New skin texture is more "tangible" and more like what you would see on TV

- New arena-specific lighting brings out true colors

- Player hair has been improved

- There are no new hair styles. There may be a few new pieces of equipment, you still cannot give CAPs tattoos (unless its your MyPlayer) and there’s been no increase in the amount of skewing you can do during the face sculpting process.

*Game Mechanics

Animations
- Over 700 new offensive and defensive animations

- No more 'bump steals' (losing the ball by running into someone) or getting stuck in animations in general

- No more "activate an animation and hoping for the computer to do it for you"

Physics
- Improved physics, no more running through another player's arms

- The speed thresholds are still proper and realistic, but every player felt quicker.

- There are far more realistic deflections, less-than clean rebounds and more. The caroms are true to life after the ball hits the rim, the floor and even the floor. You can even do tip-ins or tip back rebounds.

Offense/Shooting
- When shooting with the shot/right stick, aim is accounted for. You CAN still shoot with the button but there is a boost to shooting with the shot stick.

- Did not want to make the game feel too complex.
Shooting with the stick is a BONUS on lower levels where you won't be penalized by not utilizing them.

- All shots (except dunks) have their own timing point for the release.

- New post-up game and contact zone

- Improved shot meter, fills up faster and more in the flow of the game

Defense/Rebounding
- Improved AI especially on defense

- New steal system, more user skill dependent. If you reach at the wrong time on a steal, you'll be penalized (no more spamming X/Square).

- On a steal you can choose to swipe right left up down. After you steal the ball, you gotta go get it, CPU won't do it for you

- Smarter CPU Players bring more actions offside the ball (get free, cuts etc)

Dribbling/Rebounding
- More realistic dribbling that accounts for timing. Tougher dribbling with more rewards. User must combo dribbles correctly to do fancy moves

- Signature size-ups have been removed from the game. Those handles are still in the game, but you are charged with pulling off every move on your own. Every right stick movement is a dribble move that can be chained together for custom sizeups.

- New rebounds and putbacks and tip-outs on rebounds

- Rebounding improved, feels like you're fighting for the rebounds, new tip-rebounds

Stamina
- New stamina system that ends turbo spamming and focuses on short term energy

Gameplan
- All 30 teams now have freelance offense. Tons of new Offenses and Defenses with over 6,000 adjustments. These will be updated throughout during the season

- Advanced Rotation - Users can determine where players stand on the court

- ACE which stands for Adaptive Coaching Engine. Coaches will adapt to players differently depending on player type, playoffs, season, behavior, efficiency, etc.

- Smart coach gives detailed feedback during the game.

- There’s a new way to choose freelance offenses on the fly. A triangle will populate, and you can simply point the right stick in the direction of the look you’re ready to run.

- Fans react accordingly to the action as it affects the home team. Expect silence when the road team is on a run and escalating reactions if the home team battles its way back into the game.

*MyCAREER/MyPLAYER

- Player archetypes have returned

- Attribute Upgrades are still done in groups, but there are more groups with less attributes in each to allow for more unique players

- Height and Wingspan affect attribute caps

- Playable colleges this year: Kansas, Georgetown, Arizona, Louisville, UCONN, Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Wake Forest

-Full control over editing a Jump Shot including upper and lower body

- MyCOURT has been redesigned like a house

- Your performance in college will affect your starting overall rating!

- You max out at an 86 overall without Doin' Work

I hate that I have plans tonight. Guess that just means I'm gonna channel my inner teen years again, pull an all-nighter before my arse stays glued to the recliner for college football tomorrow.

I wonder if my body will even let me pull the all-nighter now?

I just bought the Early Access Edition through Microsoft online. Said I'll have early access to the game. It will download remotely to my Xbox so I should know once I get home.
