true, but you can usually play around vayne and pick aoe champs to make her useless in teamfights.

caits range nullifies vayne completely. you poke her with auto attack vayne moves up to you you do the e q combo and vaynes hp drops bigtime. cait for the most part is a much better team fighter then vayne right now because the meta is all about assassins which dominate vayne. If she doesn't have an adequate line to protect her. On the other hand it's hard for people to dive on cait because of her range and great getaway move with her e. Vayne is a strong champ no doubt but against a hard lane matchup and assassins she can't excel in fights because she just gets blown up or zoned out.

In lane before 6 yes. You just bid your time until 6 and then you just destroy caitlyn. Bot lane is so heavily reliant on the support.

Vayne should never destroy cait. I'm a gold 2 player right now and vaynes get manhandled by cait all the time through the laning phase. Now in a 1v1 situation late game Vayne would most likely win but vayne getting lvl 6 really doesn't make a difference. you don't duel vayne you poke poke and when vayne wants to fight you get back. It's really not that hard. You outrange her by a huge margin and any hero with a long range poke like varus or cait shite on vayne.

Your playing against bad vaynes. The support completely makes the lane anyways. Caitlyn should win yes. But if you dont get enough ahead you will get stomped

I'm playing against bad Vaynes in gold
. Vayne excells against tanks and dueling people one on one. Vayne has 0 poke and has short range for an adc. She can be jumped on and eliminated pretty easily in teamfights assuming the teams are even. Vayne was used only once in all of the quartfinal games. It was the last game of royal vs omg match.
