like that just hurt, I've only been playing for a month and that whole game hurt my brain... it's like nobody wants to live, and it all just kinda came down to "Well, let's just send everyone at it and hope we come out with the most kills" WTF?!

EU is just one big bloodbath. Elements is the polar opposite though. They play so passive that it costs them games. SK is the only team that has spots of being solid strategy-wise. But there's no doubt in my mind that the EU teams are going to get stomped in teamfights at IEM Katowice, if they even get to. It wouldn't surprise me at all if teams like the GE Tigers and TSM just beat the EU teams by rotating.
Like if you watch the CLG-TSM game, that game had a ton of fights and a ton of kills, but you could see the prep and adaptation mid-fight from both teams. Stuff like TSM using Sivir ult to kite back from Lissandra instead of engaging or Santorin using Jarvan ult to zone rather than to initiate. It's little stuff like that that you NEVER seen in any EU LCS game. You just jump into each other and whoever does the most damage wins.
It's just a much simpler game in EU right now. I'm not even an analyst and I know exactly how SK wins their games. They pick strong laners with heavy powerspikes, that's why Forgiven is still one of the only adc's left playing Lucian, and why he's never on Jinx. That's also the reason for the Morgana top pick. Even against Maokai you still push the lane and aren't in any danger of dying. Anyway, pick strong laners with heavy midgame spikes. Get an early lead then roam for kills, then go to a 1-3-1 push. However, if they aren't ahead after laning phase, it's gg. That's all they know how to do. If they have to extend a game because it's even or they aren't way stronger in the midgame, they wander around like lost puppies. Forgiven goes into afk farm mode and they fall apart as they get outscaled.
