Just watched the vods of the finals. I was hoping for CLG to win, but wasn't expecting them to beat TSM, definitely not 3-0 them. TSM seemed too content to sit back a let the game progress while CLG kept pressing. Lustboy was probably the only player for TSM that stood out. Turtle dyrus and berg did not. CLG played their same style pretty much, taking risk and whatnot, just this time it seemed to always fall into place for them. The fights around baron could have gone either way, but CLG being ahead in the games because of the early game lead, gave them the advantage. Had the gold been even TSM could have won those fights.
Pick comp was also a big factor. Top naut had no where the same impact as top yasuo and zions gnar. Same for victor in the mid lane. I can understand them wanting to ban tristana, but 2lift is gonna be ok on any adc he plays, just less mobile. But that does really matter considering the peel he had.
Congrats to CLG and to hotshot because man you could tell this meant a lot to him. I excited to see what both CLG and TSM do for worlds. C9 too bc you know they gonna sweep the regionals.

Tsm got out picked hard. They threw dyrus to the wolves and threw their eggs in the bjergsen basket. Bjergsen did not carry, so tsm lost.

Have they said if the Gauntlet is staying on 5.14 like the Playoffs or if it's gonna be 5.15/5.16?
ETA: 5.15

That's typically how TSM has beaten CLG in the past. They just weather the storm because CLG's early-game is so strong. TSM would just draw out the game to get to mid- to late-game, and slowly cut into the gold lead. They would wait for CLG to make a mistake and punish them in team fights.

CLG just has too many playmakers. TSM basically just had to pick their poison. DL, Zion, and Pobelter can all carry. Even Aphro makes huge plays, thus the Alistar bans. This team has really come together at the end of the split. Their team fighting and DL's positioning have improved tremendously since last split. They've also learned how to finish off teams when they get their early-game lead, and they've even learned how to come from behind if they don't get off to a fast start (like games 1 and 2 against TIP in the semis). However, one problem I can see them running into is if Xmithie doesn't get his Gragas or Ekko, as those are basically the only two champs he has had much success with this split. CLG is getting hot at exactly the right time.

Xmithie getting Gragas or ekko won't really be an issue considering the new patch has changed the jungle up and I'm sure all teams will be practicing new champs for worlds.

Sick of this meta.
Tanks are too strong. Add insult to injury, the add tank items with attack damage. frick riot..frick them to hell

That's true. I haven't been able to play in quite a while, so I haven't read up on the patch notes.

I feel like Liquid, TSM, CLG is a rock, paper, scissors situation.
CLG has good early game, and bad team fighting.
Liquid has ok early game, and ok team fighting.
TSM has bad early game, and good team fighting.
Liquid holds on in early game and beats CLG in team fights b/c they aren't too far behind.
TSM holds on early game and beats Liquid in team fights b/c they aren't too far behind.
CLG dumpsters TSM early game so TSM doesn't have the gold to team fight.
The issue CLG has had is that they haven't really pressed their advantage versus TSM... or just really threw in team fights. Once they finally fixed how they team fight, TSM's flaws got exposed.
*Yes, I know CLG has done pretty bad versus TSM in the past, but theoretically, they should have been able to press their advantage and win.

You need to not play ADC
It's not even a role issue.
It just makes zero sense to allow certain champions to be tanky as hell, and dole out damage equal to that of an adc.
Then to add items that give you AD plus tank stats? Just seems dumb to me.
There should be a trade off. Super tanky? Your damage should be minimal.
That's be like allowing me as Jinx to tank damage for days but still be able melt you with my auto's.

Couldn't disagree more. It's useless to play adc at this point. "Tank" champions (or anyone who isn't a mage or adc), can just run up to you and beat your brains in all the while taking little to no damage.

Increased Crit Items for ADCs.
Ashe slow, Kalista kite, Vayne tank killer, Trist tower pusher, Kog safe damage Steroids.
There's plenty of adc's that will fit the meta; they must want to push those adc's into vogue and push out the Lucian/Caitlyn comps.

So, my internet has had Super Aids for the past week. After 5 separate trips from Aat&T technicians, I think it might finally be cured. Looking forward to the new low ping. Have the Nocturne ult buffs made it through yet?
