I'd be willing to bet that 95% of league players rarely, if ever adhere to this rule....and it drives me bat shite insane.

It's not just that they chase, it's that they chase an Udyr or a Riven or an Ahri. And the enemy team has a Teemo.

Holy freakin' A - the changes to Ancient coin actually make it a viable choice if you are a ranged Support now

Most start with Spellthief's Edge, or Relic Shield.
If you go spellthief's, you upgrade to Frost Fang in the first 10 mins or so. Once you get enough gold, you sell it and buy Talisman for mid game/late game initiation/disengage.
The only supports that possibly should get coin as first item is janna or soraka.

next time you meet a salty bad adc, apply the vaynespotting game:
The scoring works like this:
•points for action your Vayne did, multiplied by...
•the number of enemies they did it into, multiplied by...
•what they gave up to do it, multiplied by...
•what they said in chat about it afterward.
Every action, cost, and chat statement has a different multiplier value! For example: say your Vayne flashes under their tower 1v3, dies without getting the kill, and blames your team's jungler. Let's score it!
FLASHING IN: 2x TOWER DIVE: 2x THREE ENEMIES: 3x JUNGLE BLAME: 2x
...for a total of 2x2x3x2= 24 points! NICE VAYNESPOT!

likely wont see any sweeping changes until worlds are over.
an issue is a lot of the "tank killing" champs just aren't as viable as they used to be in their traditional role, imo.
