You really only need 3 guys 311 or higher to take down Oryx.
Seriously the no knight strategy is so easy for the 3 platform guys.
Just have to make sure they can survive the adds.
I don't care if those 3 are 305 or higher.

We actually had everyone in the group at 310 or higher and tried doing the strat where we kill the knights and didn't even make it to the first DPS stage to stagger Oryx once. Switched to no-knight and got it in two tries.
It's amazing how some groups suck dick at one strat, but can pick the other one up really quickly.

The no knight all comes down to the two guys up top and the runner. As long as the two up top know how to stagger the Ogres to keep them off the runner and are high enough light to burn them down easy enough, along with adds if need be, it should be easy.
But yes, I know some people swear by the normal strategy. Which I can get behind but not if you are carrying people.
Because the normal Strategy takes all 6 guys to get it done. Probably easier with a good, strong group of 6.

Well, to be perfectly honest the guys on the platforms in the no Knight strategy really don't do anything besides kill an ogre with a tiny bit of health, and then stay alive running to and back from the blights. That's why it's easier to get a new group coordinated and do it quickly.
The normal way, everyone has to kill an ogre and the knight that spawns. If you have anyone that's not over 310 or even so and have an underpowered load out, it's tough to stay alive when ogres are trying to wreck you on the platforms.

So what is this no Knight strategy?

Basically two titans are on top of the daughter platform opposite of Oryx and three people are assigned platforms 1, 2 and 3. So wherever Oryx slams the person assigned to platform 1 will always jump on that platform after the runner and so on through all three.
The two titans swap throwing up blessings bubbles up top and dip and in and out with the ToM to work the Ogres down on health, but not kill them. Once the relic runner has the relic then everyone jumps up top where the Titans are and sit in the bubble until the aura is up top.
When i do it, the three platform people and one of the titans are assigned a blight platform. Meaning they will always kill the ogre on that platform regardless of where they jumped up and they will always detonate that blight and run around that platform for bombs.
So once Oryx staggers, those four people kill the ogres at relatively the same time since their health is low and you do a drop down countdown, from three is what I do, and then you detonate at hopefully the same time. The aura person and other titan then drop down to the middle where you shoot Oryx in NM and you rinse and repeat.
Doing this just eliminates the process of having to kill the vessel and the knights that spawn after killing the ogres if you time it right. It really just depends on people doing their job and the Titans getting the ogres to relatively the same health before you kill them.

Everything he says but the main benefit to it is 3 guys (the 3 on the platforms) Just sit down and don't shoot during the time the runner is getting the Aura. This stops them from being killed during the Ogre/vessel round. Really helps you carry people, as you can die very very easily if you are under 311 and standing on the platform.

So apparently Bungie is releasing some kind of King's Fall boss specific challenge where each week you have to beat them in a specific manner on normal or hard. That's interesting
Good to see they finally released some new on Challenge Mode. i was hoping it would drop before Thanksgiving, but at least there's finally some news.
Lol I 100% assumed one of the challenges would be golgoroth and not using the one orb strat. I'm assuming you'll have to use all six.

I wonder what the rewards are. Calcified fragments are a given since I think they said it. Extra loot maybe? If it's moldering shards I quit.

Lol I would probably quit the game if it was shards. But since you can't get HM drops from shards, I'd assume it would maybe be rewards that are guaranteed maybe between 315-320? Who knows!

Other thread got me to check my hours on Destiny.
Holy frick I have played for 866 hours.
(This does not even include idol time in orbit, tower or reef)
Totes has played 1365
Loop has played 729
DC has played 1110
The guy ranked 1st is 5327 hours. That rounds up to 12 hours per day if he started playing on release date. And this does not include idol time.

419 hours. That's with me not playing the dlc basically last year
Why you have to knock fallout man? You can't do that

I actually like games like Fallout, it just hasn't clicked, I think it was just my mood maybe. I have only played like 6 hours. Which is nothing for a game like that.
I will pick it up again I am sure. For now, back to Destiny or maybe picking up the bloodborne DLC.
