I'm kinda underwhelmed with the Kirkhammer. I have it up to +3 and still use the axe most of the time.

After you said that, I'm thinking about keeping the axe. Upgraded to +2 already and need one more shard for +3.
I wonder how the saw spear matches up after upgrading. I found one around those giant rats.

I did two into vitality, 1 into STR, and 1 into endurance. Haven't touched skill yet.
I might actually have out 3 into vitality. I can't remember.

So does anyone know what the difference is if you pick online or offline at the beginning menu?
The opening of this was pretty daunting. I don't play these type of games often and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. I wandered around the streets getting killed quickly without any real sense of direction. Gonna have put a lot of time into it tomorrow so hopefully I can figure out some things.

how bad are the loading times ? is it tolerable or does it leave you wishing you had an SSD?

They really aren't that bad. They are a little long but it doesn't really bother me.

Ok, so I was having a huge issue with the Cleric Beast. I couldn't beat the fricker. what was the trick. I was getting my arse whooped many many many times. Then I remembered I could switch to a chain. Beat him pretty quickly.
Blasted my way to the father and was beast moding him until he had 1/5 health and one shotted me.
Don't forget to check your weapon to see if it's broken without you noticing. Has happened to me twice.
I've put 3-4 in vitality
1-2 in endurance
2 in strength and 2 in the other one.

I didn't have trouble with the cleric beast. Father whatshisname after him destroyed me 4x before I got a rhythm down.

Just downed him, 3rd attempt. Hunter axe is too good, lol. I tried kirkhammer, but the charge attack on hunter axe is just ridiculous. I demolished him with that.
