a push is a push...we should've established ign or gameinformer as the tie breaker but it's too late

Skyrim has made me squeal on numerous occasions. I've actually traded in Batman (will pick it up later), so I don't think Fox wants that

Well it couldn't have been IGN, they gave both games the same score.

eta: Nvm, just saw the PS3 score was a 94. It astounds me that Batman: AC has a higher average score than Skyrim. Batman's great and all, but Skyrim is not only one of the finest RPGs I've ever played, but one of the finest games from any genre.

Batman has more brand equity.
Skyrim definitely has it's problems because they bite off a little more (clunky movements, bugs, 3rd person sucks, combat isn't fluid) don't get me wrong, I'm loving this game
Batman's issues are what is not in the game.
Skyward Sword is going to better than either but I'm a Zelda fan so I might have a bias

Yeah, just a little.
I'm a Zelda fan, too, but I prefer the old school style of Zelda (Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past). Don't get me wrong, OoT was one of my favorites of all-time, but I just don't have the attention span for it anymore.

Honestly, this is one of the problems with reviews. Instead of scoring a review based on how enjoyable the experience of the game is, it's like they start everything with a 10 and then detract points for every niggle. Skyrim certainly has its faults, but for each fault, it goes well above and beyond anything in any other games in another way. I believe it is very well-polished, considering its extreme scope and ambition.
eta2: I know it's stupid to be irritated that a game only got a 95.

I kind of agree. Both games are a 10 for me but I enjoy batman more (in fact th arkham series might be the best thing in the batman universe)
I would give skyward sword a shot. It basically throws out over 2 decades of convention and is getting ridiculously high praise. Game Trailers is the only site dogging it and they still gave it a 9.1...their review is absurd, please watch it)
