That sounds a little in depth unless you can make it really simple for me. I was thinking more along the lines of the betfenix strips that use molex connectors with some sort of molex on off switch that mounts in a pci bracket or 5.25 bay. Know where I could find one?

Just Google an led wiring strip diagram. It seems confusing but its easy once you do it. I've done several different switches but they were all homemade. Best was a 5.25 bay cover with 3 switches. Two were dimmers for led strips and one was a fan led controller.

The strips work fine, I just like to tinker

Now y'all are getting me fired up about making cosmetic changes and changing to a black and white color scheme. White rings on the corsair fans, black 680 evga backplate on my windforce 670, white LEDs, white case, black psu, white sleeves cable extensions.

I'm doing some HUGE changes to my case. I'm making a build log for OC and MDPC so I'll probably post a condensed version here as well if anyone wants. It is taking a while and it certainly is time consuming but it's all coming together now. I'm happy

Again they're not gonna blow you away but they look and work pretty good for 10 dollar fans.

Well I only assume they are right on par with what I have so that's fine.

What could you possibly be changing in that phantom

I loved mine when I had it, but it is very limited in its expandability. The switch 810 is miles better, imo and well worth the $50-70 extra

Plenty. It IS limited but I'm making the most of what I got

Yeah I wish I would have got the switch but this one is fine for me for now. I got it for $80 and I couldn't justify spending double. Knowing what I know now though, I PROBABLY would have gone with the switch.

ok guys. besides my cosmetic changes I need some serious opinions on what to do about my gpu situation. I currently have a gigabyte windforce 670 that has been great. Is my best move to
A)get another and SLI them(approximately $320-340)
B)get a galaxy or evga ftw 680(approximately $520) and sell my 670 for 320ish
C)sell my 670 for 320ish and buy a 7970 for $460-480)
D)something different all together
E)leave it as is

tell me what you would do, why, how much it would cost, and how much more performance I would get. If the performance increase is enough to justify the cost then I would be willing to spend another 300-400.

What resolution are you playing on? If it's 1080p I'd grab another 670 since you probably won't use all of the vram.

You won't get that much of an increase, only in taxibg games like bf3, skyrim, crysis, etc

well I'm on a 27 inch asus 1080 monitor. With another 670 could I push a single 1440 catleap?

If you move up to 1440p I'd get a new card with more vram like a 7970/7950 because the have 3gb and have a higher memory bus

I'm in a similar situation. I can't decide whether I want to get another 660ti to SLI or sell and upgrade to a 680.

Another 660Ti in SLi will outperform a single 680.

FYI.

Correct me if wrong but sli has less issues than crossfire correct?
