Just 2yrs ago this whole board were just console FPS xboxvsps3 and the time of Clan Wars. No real gaming or modding going on.

Display port vs HDMI
I thought this would be a good place to post since people reading this thread are the most likely to be concerned with it. To sum it up if you didnt't know HDMI has a standard that wasn't set until 2010. I think most people know that the overpriced Best Buy high quality cables are a shame but what many don't know is they can be made to carry different speeds. Long story short get the high speed hdmi with ethernet especially since they are under $5 on amazon anyway. Also be careful with older cables that may be pre standard.

I have never actually read them since I was more of a lurker at the time. We could always create our own master race awards.

I remember just a few PCers when I first got here. Seems in the last 6months it has really blew up. Really glad for that.. And IMO will only get larger with Steam and consoles going to x86.

My question is this.what does that mean for games, pc game ports, and pc gaming in general over the next generation if consoles are going to a more pc architecture? I think its great but I'm also not an expert.

I means real games for pcs and not ports. It means developers will most likely design PC GAMES FIRST and then scale down for consoles.

I just sold my iPad. We never used the thing. We were using it strictly as an in bed browser but find ourselves just using our MBP and air now.

I think is would like a mini though, one thing I started to dislike was that the iPad really was an uncomfortable form factor.

Yea I use it as a browser in bed or couch basically cause the dog would jump on my laptop probably. I wouldn't buy one though, I got it from work. If I had to buy one it would prob be a kindle just because I like it as a reader.

My grandparents purchased all the grandchildren kindle fires when they first came out.. They fcking suck.
Saying that, the kindle Ereaders are awesome.
The GF has a kindle paperwhite and it is extremely impressive. She absolutely loves it.

We have no children yet so I have a room to myself.. IMO I always want an "office" even after kids.

I want the same but we currently live in a 2 bedroom townhouse. There is not a lot of storage.
