i purchased this game sometime in the past, and forgot about it, until reviewing my library recently. Decided to give it a try.

just made it to the amusement park boss fight "I must be beautiful" holy shite. that was wild. pretty fun game. The very beginning, from post prologue until amusement park is a bit of a slog.

gonna try and beat it. combat is a lot of fun.

anyone with any tips they wish to share?

Amazing game and fantastic soundtrack. Also has a story that sticks with you long after it's been completed, so have fun with that.

Only "tips" would be when the credits roll for the first time, you're really not finished. That was just the first act.

Come back with your post game thoughts. This board is really high on this game.

One of the most underrated games of all time. I posit it’s because they beat the first campaign with 2B have no fricking clue what they just experienced not knowing there’s 4 other campaigns most are a little shorter than the first or much shorter. Only thing in the whole game I hate is 9s hacking. I like the mini game it is fun but it’s not fun for the 4000th time

If I recall there’s fast travel between those “vending machines” your new droid comes out of when you die. You’ll find them over the map being attacked by a small group of easy enemies. Liberate it and it’s a fast travel point. I think that’s how it works been a long time since I played it

ETA: if you’re on the second play through as 9s you might have to unlock them all again I honestly don’t recall

Fast travel unlocks after a specific boss fight. Don't recall how long into the game that is, but it is in Act 1.

Yah that jogged my memory I know which one it is now. Op it’ll be abundantly clear when you can use it but like i said the warp points will be those body vending machines so it’s pays to liberate one if you see it

I got through the (very fricking long) prologue and then just... kinda stopped playing. I've been meaning to get back to it for years, but just always find something else to play. Probably one day

Josh I would highly suggest you make it a top priority game. Not only does it have so much profound meaning and things to say but as is the beauty with all games platinum works on the combat has a low barrier to entry where most people will be able to complete all 5 main campaigns but at the same time an insanely high skill ceiling for those that want to test themselves and shred everything. It also has some of the best side content any game ever just a tad below Witcher 3.

Although don’t expect anything to truly make that much amount of sense until campaign 4 lol

I started out on normal, button mashing and having fun. I can tell the skill ceiling can get quite high with adjusted difficulty though. I like

Idk how far you are into the game but this is pretty early info. You get a primary and secondary weapon and the game never tells you all the absolutely ridiculous shite you can mixing and matching and putting what in slot A compared to slot B. There’s hours long videos on YouTube of people showing how stuff works and to do combos 98% of people would never know because the game doesn’t hold your hand

I think the Replicant remake/remaster is a much better game.

It's a truly unforgettable game. Enjoy the ride. When you get to the B route (you'll know what it is when you get to it) just power through as quick as you can to continue the story. The back half of the game has some absolutely spectacular sequences and moments. Install a seatbelt on your chair/couch

Really? I've been playing it recently for the first time and while I love the characters and story, the side quests are AWFUL. I mean, they're so bad that characters in the game make fun of how tedious they are.

I appreciate that they're meant to flesh out storylines for characters, but they're so boring that I only did a handful before heading to "Part 2" of my first playthrough.
